I have been readinglistening a lot of books by Matthew Kelly. I can not recommend his writings enough. They fit right in w/ what I see being taught here (become the best version of yourself...not you dad, or a teacher, or whomever). He is easily found on the web and is worth a look.

He reminds me a lot of you. I think you would enjoy much of his work especially his, "Rediscovering Catholicism" book.
