Hey Friends,

I have decided to institute a new policy. If, I am uncertain about the true identity of someone posting on our forum or the content of their posts, I will ban them temporarily and I will give them 3 days to contact me by phone in order to prove their sincerity as a member of this forum. If they refuse to contact me, then it is obvious that something is very wrong and the ban will be made permanent. If, on the other hand, they do call me, and I am convinced that they are totally legitimate, I will then apologize to them publicly on this forum.

This is the best way that I know of to protect the members of this forum. I'm sorry to have to take this measure but I assure you that it will be for everyone's benefit.

I do not know why, or understand all that is going on to make you have to make these policy changes.
I do not want to know all the details any way. You have earned my trust and loyalty. Therefore, I back all your decisions on such crucial matters involving integrity and what is best for this forum.
I have found, you are forced to spend too much time policing this site, to keep it at the level it has been for the 1.5 years I have been on it. When that is done for a free forum, it becomes a costly problem.

John, I appreciate the measures you take to insure this forum is as civil and respectful as it is. At the same time, I am sorry for the need of such measures. Wish that your time needn't be spent in such a manner. However, the fruit of your labors is that we have a very decent place to to converse and learn from each other, a true rarity on the web!

I believe it's a wise decision, and the best way to keep this forum a haven for those who really want to learn and discuss Transformetric related ideas.

John;

You've got the right to decide what is and isn't cool on your forum.
The internet forum allows the world into our 'homes', but really, any houseguest should obey the house rules. When someone comes to my home, I expect a certian standard to be respected. Otherwise, show them the door.
We're all guests on the forum and should be grateful for the sounding boardthat's been provided so we can exchange views and opinions in a respectful way.
If not, thanks for stopping by.

Jack

I have been on the art of strength forum and everyone has to post with their real name or at least real first name. It fosters less hostility.

Good Point Frank. I think that will be the next measure if we must. But for now I'm pleased with what we have.

"Your dime.....your dancefloor......"

This is what a local radio sportscaster used to use as his tagline when he would take phone calls.

I, of course, am fully behind John aand feel heīs handling this in the best way possible in order to keep our community as postive as possible. Itīs only sad that it has had to come to this. The postings earlier today only go to show the negativity and immaturity that some people can reach.
