'Five things I would like you to know',said the Sage as he lay on his deathbed:

1)life is like the vast ocean, you will experience many waves some like tsunamis some tiny swells, remember you are the ocean not the wave.

2)anything can be accomplished when you believe in yourself, when you visualize then actualize your dreams.this is how sickly children have become Masters.

3)God awaits for you everywhere, from the limbs of trees,in crying eyes,in children with horribly distended bellies from poverty,in those with leprosy and other ailments,in rocks, plants, animals, all humans and their various conditions,in the stars,in the planets.you simply must open your heart

4)exercise as if you were in the blush of first LOVE.every limb moves with power with grace, with the simple falling without any discernible bottom to be seen.practice this way and you shall always love your exercise.

5)you are never alone.entire galaxies sing to you while you sleep.the birdsong is the poetry of love,as easy to pick up,as your full attention.energies are feeding you and emanating from you,the strongest of which is LOVE,wear it like a fine garment,be it at all times, and then you will truly SEE....

the old Sage died ,his last breath sounded like one last wave crashing on the shore,
i often ponder his words.at times they are worn in the back of my mind like old drapes in a room not often used-waiting for Spring cleaning.other times they are as present as his gentle face, caressing my soul in times of trouble,in times of laughter....

peace,
jason

thank you Kottie and Tim!

an old friend of mine has been after me for years to start collecting my poems to publish,he says i write and act like Han Shan, just letting words, thoughts and poems scatter as soon as i write them.

he is a published poet and has challenged me to do a chap, book of poetry with him.

in effect he is corralling me in.i am kind of an old bald headed hippie, let you know how it turns out.

i have always enjoyed my Brother John Peterson not minding me writing here-hope you all don't mind as well.

i kind of like thinking about exercise like first love lately.if we can do that every time we can truly actualize a Zen state of mind(pick everything up as if it is the first time).

rambled to much.

peace,
jason

Jason,

I have enjoyed many of your posts!! You should go for it and get your poems published. It is so uniquely you and what you have brought to this world. Your students will love it as well as us "flower children". :peace:
