does site load slowly?

I find that it takes a long time for the pages to load. I thought it was just my computer, but a friend also went into the site and said that everything else loaded quickly for her on her computer, but this site was also loading slowly on her computer. Just thought I would mention it. Do other people find this? Any suggestions?
