View Full Version : Amazon Kindle or iPhone Users!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that we at Bronze Bow Publishing are in the first stages of making JP's books available on the Amazon Kindle. And if you are an iPhone user, you can now use your iPhone as a Kindle. The app just came out the other day and it is pretty cool. Just wanted to let everyone know what we are doing and trying to stay ahead of the technology these days.
I'd also be interested to know everyone's interest out there for JP's books being available in this format.
All the best,

Greg:
I just got a Kndle this past Christmas. I love the idea of being able to have 200 books in one small package. The Kindle is great.
That being said, I'm not sure how Transformetrics would translate into the Kindle. Browsing through the text would be a little difficult. i suppose if you book mark the pages where the exercises are, it might work.
My personal opinion is that the Kindle is ideal for text only books; books with a lot of graphics might be too difficult to work though.

I use the Kindle, too, but only for books with texts. None so far with graphics. I've read some online comments about the Kindle's poor ability to use graphics.
Does anyone have experience in using the Kindle to read books with graphics?
P.S. For anyone who replies, you may want to point out whether you have the regular Kindle or what I've recently seen advertised as Kindle 2.

I have Kindle 1; had I known Kindle 2 would have been out just two months after I got it, I would have waited. From what I understand, Kindle 2 has tremendously improved resolution, although it still only shows in black and white.
Amazon sent out emails to Kindle 1 users to buy Kindle2, but with no discount incentive. Why would I want to spend another $350 bucks when I just shelled out $350 two months prior? Off topic, but it burns my doilies.

I just got my Kindle 2 a few weeks ago. After seeing it, my boss got the Kindle Store app for the iPhone. so I'm familiar with both.
The Kindle is, in a word: Amazing! The only negative is it's price. It is very expensive. But after plopping down the money and only having it a few weeks, I simply can't see going anywhere without it.
The Kindle 2 can reproduces images in 16 shades of gray, and I'm sure future version will be ever better. Here are some pics of mine. Any of this stuff look familiar?

Feel free to ask me any question about it if you're curious.

Joe, you just proved the maxim that a picture's worth a thousand words. Thanks!
Question: Did you ever try Kindle 1 with graphic books? If so, how bad/good were the graphics?

No, I've not used a Kindle 1. I lucked out and ordered my Kindle when they were already sold out. When the 2 became available they sent it to me. If I would have purchased mine a month earlier I would probably be fuming just like mcj6417!!
But I can tell you that the original Kindle has 4 shades of gray, Kindle has 16. What the translates into in the real world? I'm not really sure.
