On the old forum there were several threads about the hollyweed and how it can boost your regular pushups numbers fast! Lots of new guys here, and the old threads are gone. You can go from zero pushups to a set of 100 PUs in a month with ease, using the hollyweed!
The hollyweed is greasing the groove using modified pushups; wall, door and counter. In addition to your regular routine; knock off as many modified pushups as you can in a set and as many sets as you can everyday. Once you hit 160 to 200 extra modified pushups a day per day this is really a booster rocket. Some of the guys that do a lot of regular pushups per day, tried the hollyweed and love it and endorse it. There really is something for nothing, the trick is most of the benifits of your pushups come from a certain range and the hollyweed hits the sweet spot. Gordon explained the physics and also that he was told by Atlas's friend; that Atlas did a lot of wall pushups daily! So Atlas was doing the hollyweed too!

So basically, If I do 150 regular push ups, I should add another 100 or so modified(counter top) push ups?

From what I understand/remember, the “hollyweed” is just as MikeNY posted above.
It’s the GTG method using modified push ups (wall, counter, etc). It makes sense in that you’re using the muscles more.
On a more personal note, I have a problem getting “into” counter push ups. There is not enough weight to be pushed. So, I don’t feel like I’m working as much as I think I should. But, it might be that my feet aren’t far enough away.

Do these with the hands VERY close together. It is one heck of a tricep pump. Almost have the hands touching for the increase difficulty and see if this works better for you.

There are many ways to position yourself so that wall pushups can vary from very easy to very difficult. Bryce Lane's booklet shows these variants. Meanwhile, let the experiments begin.
A low chinupbar or an equivalent is yet another "wall pushuo platform"

Don't forget to try 1 arm wall pushups; also try the 1 arm 1 leg variety. Using 1 arm will nicely force the torso stabilizers to do their thing.
Alternate arms nonstop for several minutes for a strength/cardio workout

Great answers guys and thank you, I like using the hands in differnt positions (diamonds & hands far aparts as just two) and varying the distance from a wall or door, 2 to 4 feet from the door/wall works well; and the counter makes for a good place for PUs. hollyweed started using a bar at waist height and he is the real deal, he thought he was doing modified pushups, he is doing Atlas pushups! Talking with hollyweed made me think, you can use GTG the hollyweed way!

I agree isorez. For giggles I did the hollyweed in my kitchen with my thumbs and index fingers touching, I was honestly surprised how much i felt it and yet, how at the same time it was soooooo easy. Kinda cool.

One thing to be mindful of is keeping a straight torso/spine (no slack spots) This is esp. challenging when doing a "wall superman" where the feet contact the wall; even my version where my hands are on the wall is challenging

If doing the hollyweed was good enough for Charles Atlas it is good enough for me. This might well one of his secrets, he never shared it in his course; but used it himself. We have to thank Gordon, he passd on the information he gleaned from Tom Manfre; if my memory is correct.
