Generally speaking, I’m not much of a DSR fan, but the following exercise is a good one that you might like to try.

These are two of the exercises my chiropractor gave me to do last year, I did them twice daily for 10 reps each for about 3 months. They were for my hip which I'd injured years earlier but didn't even know it - I now no longer have pains in my hips.

Thanks Royce

Hey Royce,

You are right this is a pretty good DSR. Also if you would like an explanation on how to do them in english look in Johns PYTP book. Anyways thanks for sharing this with us Royce.

Jared,

Ken reports that his chiropractor had him do the movements as hip exercisers. That’s cool.

But I think the more common application is to use them for exercising the deltoids and pectorals.

When one places one’s hands in between the legs and pushes outward while resisting with the legs, he is working the deltoids.

However, when one puts the hands on the outside of the knees and pushes inward, he is exercising the pectorals.

Personally, I like to do one set of ten repetitions with maximum force.

Interesting video, and it would exercise the hips unusual and would work as Ken noted and as Royce noted the other muscls.
