Hey Friends,

I made in error in judgment about a young man that had come to our forum that I had banned. This man literally followed through as I requested in a previous message and called me to straighten out the issue and to prove that he was entirely legitimate. I'm glad he did so because this young man is one great guy. His first name is Raphael and he previously logged in as "R-ticles One."

So Raphael, though I already apologized to you over the phone, I want to apologize to you now on this open forum because I was wrong about you and you deserve to have an apology here. I'm sorry that I did what I did and am delighted to have you as a participant on our forum. Thank You for graciously accepting my apology. I'm glad you proved me wrong. I look forward to your friendship and participation.

John,

At the very least, nobody can say that you don't follow up on what you promise.

You explained to everyone that part of the "enrollment" for new members would be a temporary ban.

Then, if the affected individual conversed with you and you determined he/she was legit, you'd publicly apologize to them on the forum.

There’s nothing like seeing a promise unfold into action :)

Hey John,

I am very glad he agreed to call you. Its great to have new members here and to know they are trust worthy. Also like Rob said I love it when you see a promise fulfilled. :) Anyway John again you prove you are a man of you word. I am proud to have you as a friend. All the best.

Hello everyone!

Yes, it's me, and I did indeed speak to John, earlier this afternoon. I left him a voicemail, and he must have phoned me very soon after arriving at the Bronze Bow "Headquarters", with a big, genuine apology.

There isn't the slightest hard feeling - there wasn't, to begin with, because I'd heard that John is a stand-up guy, and he proved that right. All there was, was a bit of confusion on my part as to why this had happened.

Over the phone, I got a condensed version of this forum's trouble-maker addled past, which cleared things up greatly. Having looked through some of the posts, even a bit more, I can say that I'm glad this policy exists. So many forums today are riddled with nonsense, and the last thing one like this needs is a group of people setting out to disrupt its flow.

John, it was a pleasure to talk to you, and it must be a rare thing in these times to have such direct contact off-line with authors and/or moderators. I heartily and publicly accept your apology! Thank you. I look forward to learning with everyone here.

Cheers,

R. (Which stands for Raphael). ;)

You're a class act Raphael (R.ticle One). It was a pleasure to speak with you and I'm delighted that you are here. Thank you for being so understanding.

It is always preferred to be perfect rather than being in error. Since this is not a situation that humans can claim, perfection, the best we can do is admit when we are wrong. That seems to be a very difficult thing for many individuals. My father is 84 years old. I have never heard him say he is wrong or apologize to anyone. That is not a good thing. Too much pride.
Mr. Peterson, by apologizing in public, has submitted himself to humiliation, but comes out looking very classy to me. Of course, I would expect no less from him. He is a man of great character and inner strength.

John takes a real man to admit he was wrong!

Raphael welcome aboard! You have the same name as my dad, but dad spelled it differntly.

Raphael welcome! This only proves that Bronze Bow is a class act and John is a real man unlike the "girly men" on the macho site.

Cheers, friends. Hey, MikeNY, that's interesting about your Dad's name. Around here (Ontario), Raphael isn't the most common name. I can remember once when a customer came into a store I used to work in, and upon taking his customer information, he told me "Raphael". "Whaaaa?", was my reply.

Thanks again John and everybody, you sure know how to make a person feel welcome around here! I can't tell you 'bout some of "macho" nonsense I've read at some other places. Yeesh.
