I just got John's new book a couple of days ago and I am going to make it my quest to do Handstand push ups. but first i need more of a mind body foundation. So I am going to do some of the foundational exercises listed in the book and only when i am ready will i start to attempt a handstand.
Today I did:
2x30, 2x20 Atlas II's
2 minute Charles Atlas Neck Bridge
side planks with each foot elevated at a time-- 7 seconds each
1 minute plank.
I still need to read the book fully but it is a great health book-- i could tell that at a glance-- and I plan to do the exercise in an attempt to do finally a handstand.

Hi All:
Today a short workout:
11 superman arch push ups
30 Tiger stretch push ups
i really wanted to add the tiger stretch to my overall routine. it is i believe a very important push up. hopefully tomorrow i will do more but i believe having time to relax is important too to overall health. and since it is the end of the day i will do just that.
tomorrow i should do these two push ups but also i might do the warrior power t's in place of the atlas ii's. then the next day do the atlas push ups. variety is always good too.
PEACE

Hi All:
I have been thinking and I decided the weak spot in my health is my midsection. My doctor said I could easily loose 10 pounds from around my midsection. My doctor who knows my exercise routine wanted me to buy a stationary bike. But I am NOT going to dole out well over a 1000 dollars when push ups are just as good and FREE. So as you probably guessed I am going to attack my midsection through push ups. The push ups I am going to focus on are Superman Push Up and Tiger Stretch Push Ups. I will also do other exercises too like the hang which I rediscovered for my exercise routine. Also the IPB. But I think going forward the core part of my core routine will be SMPU and TSPU. Anyway i will give my midsection stats after Memorial day. Plus I will be starting this routine tomorrow.
Have a great holiday weekend all

Hi Tim:
Great to hear from you. I am 5' 9" tall and I weigh 205. Which really isn't bad once you consider that I used to weigh 250 before Transformetrics. My gut is 39". I take the most embarrishing mesurement I can so I messure right around my belly. But that is down from 42". Like I said in my previous post my doctor told me I could lose 10 pounds around my midsection easy. And I agree with him. Like you my doctor suggested I buy a stationary bike. But they are expensive and I don't trust Crig's list. Thanks though for the advice. But I would like to stick with what I know. I think in John's next book he might address the cardio aspect of push ups. I am trying to attack my gut from two angles. 1) stregthen the gut muscles and 2) some cardio. As far as 1 goes I do the Superman Arch Push Ups. And two I would like to start doing the Tiger Stretch Push Up. The Tiger Stretch isn't my favorite. I like the Superman Arch more. BUt the TSPU does attack the gut muscles at least for me, and it is good cardio. Today I did not do much for my gut but a lot for my arms so far. I do love those chin ups. But later today I will add the TSPU. That is if I am able to. I might be tried at the end of the work day, but hopefully I'll press myself to do them.
Anyway here is what I did today.
1 minute hang +4 chin ups
10 chin ups
I will post later if I add more today.
PEACE

Hi All:
Today I did:
3x20, 18, 12 10= 100 Warrior Power T push ups
-- That is a new PR!!! I was amazed I could do 100 T push ups in sets. My max before was only 70. I was also amazed that those push ups hit my ABS and legs as well as all the upper body muscles. Really the T's are all anyone needs to have a great workout.
40 consecutive doorway rows
Yesterday I did 50 Tiger Bend Squats. Those are good for the old cardio. I will do 50 more today once I arrive home. But what got me going again on these is that I read that in order to be a part of the Lion's Den MMA fighters the entrance exam was to do 500 consecutive TBS. I would like to do 500 consecutive too now because of that story. I think it is a great goal. Now I will never be or try to be an MMA fighter. BUT it would be great to do daily what some couldn't do once (a lot of MMA fighters fail that test to get in to that group). BUT I have a long way to go.
Wish me well
And I keep all of you in my prayers.
