All,
Recently John posted an article about getting past hurdles and doing things you thought you couldn't. I've been doing Transformetrics since February this year and when I first started I was able to perform 15 pushups. Since then I've been doing 1 - 2 sets of pushups daily, but this past 2 weeks I decided that I needed to step up and "do more" as one of our members mentioned in a post recently. So I started doing 10 Atlas 1 pushups every hour and amazingly to me I was able to complete 10 sets over the course of the day. I've also been doing Panther Stretch PU since I have a weak lower back and thought these would be good to do. At first I was able to do about 20 of these. Well last night while the kids were playing on the play set in the backyard, I thought to myself, I'm going to do 100 PSPU in 2 sets of 50. So I started by counting up to 25 and then counting down from 25 to get in the full 50. I'm proud to say that I did both sets in about 10 minutes (read a book with my son between sets) but man it felt great and I know I can do more reps with less time between sets now that I've proven to myself I can!! So just like John said, even if you haven't done something before...doesn't mean you can't.
Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to share some success from a newbie to this forum. Thanks for all your support and keep on smilin everyone!
