Friends,

Yesterday I attended an 'outdoor bash' 52nd birthday party of one of my wife's brothers. She's from a large family (7) with lots of brothers, sisters, and cousins. We had a spahnfaerkel (sp?), literally a pig roasted rotisserie-style over charcoal, and 12 chickens. Lots of entertainment. An absolutely beautiful outdoor party on a blue-sky wonderful day in Wisconsin. :party::cake:

I sat on a lawn chair and talked with one of my wife's cousins as we sucked a couple of beers, and my sister-in-law sitting nearby made a comment to him about his 2 to 3 times a week visits to a Vic Tanny-style health club. At the age of 53, he was still working out, and admirably flexed a bicep. This of course prompted me to pull up my short-sleeve shirt, and flex my 57-year old 17-1/2" upper arm, and he said "whoaa, you gotta be lifting weights too, Greg." . My response? Nope, just imaginary weights.

As has happened dozens, perhaps hundreds of times in the past, the inevitable discussion arose regarding what my VRT system is, which I admirably followed into John's Transformetrics, and we talked for a full hour about push-ups, Hindu pu's, DSR's, DVR's, Isometrics, my VRT, Flexercise, and all the books John has written about weight-free bodybuilding and equipment-free full fitness.

This sparked his interest, and the instant availability and the vast cost reduction of a system such as this, and yet getting results that he could obviously see on me, got him to look over this site and our methods.

Like I say, one convert at a time. Conversion is thrilling.

Nice work Greg, one convert at a time is how we'll get them all in the end. Nothing talks as loud as success and your a walking Bill Board! Plus you had a wonderful day with friends, good food and you helped someone. Great Day!

Great story Greg. A lot of people I talk to still get the deer in the headlight looks when I talk to them about what I do. It doesn't fit the "workout of the month" in whatever magazine they read regularly. But, I believe in time a lot more people will be converted to this style of training. By the way was the beer a good stout German brew?

Greg, I think it was "the beer that made Milwaukee famous" which is Schlitz, which departed Milwaukee when it was bought by Stroh's 27 years ago, but has now made a refreshing comeback in this area. Lots of German beer in Milwaukee; Miller, Pabst, Blatz, Schlitz, Sprecher, and a few micro-breweries. :beer: I live 26 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Lots of Germans settled here in the 1800's. Lots of Irish too. I'm a combination of the two. A spahnfaerkel is German for a roast baby pig, and is quite popular for outdoor barbecues at large summer parties.

Hey Greg,

You my friend, have one awesome physique and I can tell you that nobody would believe that you are 57 with the youthful looks, posture, and musculature that you have. I can easily see why someone would think that you must be lifting weights. But what you do is so much better. What you teach is all gain and no pain.

A beer belly around here is nicknamed "a Milwaukee tumor."

Glad I don't have one. :smile-big::clap::rotfl::beer:
