Ok, first the news.
My wife and I are expecting our second child. The due date is March 7, which is one month after our daughter's birthday :)
This leads to the question part of my post.
My wife is concerned about weight gain this time around, largely because she doesn't want to weigh as much as she did with our daughter. Obviously, now that she's pregnant she has to be a bit more cautious than if she weren't.
The question I have is this:
From a purely muscular activity stand point, which burns more calories over a given time period, static contractions/holds or dynamic movements???
The current plan is to have her do whichever is best, along with deep breathing, in order for her to keep within a SAFE and comfortable weight range.
We’ve already been trying to adapt to a more healthy diet. Now, we/I am trying to determine the best exercise for her given her current condition.
