I started working yesterday. I'm doing maintenence at Gold's Gym just near my home so its easy to get to. It'll be my second day today and already stoked. Free membership plus I can workout even before my shift is over so its pretty awesome. This is my first job in over 3 years so I feel this will really help get my foot in the door. The interview for it couldn't be more fun to have. My boss treated me like one of the guys and just being myself paid off. Had a half hour left on my shift and already finished my work so I showed the guy who showed me how the work goes how to hang properly on the pull-up bar and showed him some animal exercises and he was stoked at what I was showin him. He's into almost the same eastern culture training methods as i'am so this is looking to be an awesome friendship. I plan to stick with this for a while until I find another way to grab some money and train people the way I want.

Just kidding. Some of my best friends lift weights.

Its a fun a job, take away some of the nasty things needed to do and it just feels meditative. plus getting to workout for free, i'm usually done with my shift early so the last half hour, do some pull-ups, ring work move around like an animal in the aerobics room, hang with some big and strong dudes its great. I did some bridging just before I clocked out and my boss was right next to me talking to a woman and said to me "the hell you doing you're pretty damn strong." Coming from my boss it was a great compliment.

Good for you Benny, I used to a few years back drive to Santa Cruz every few months and work out at Dave Drapers World Gym when he owned it, the gym has great pull-up bars, and I would go down there to do my bw workout, just for a change of pace, Santa Cruz is only 1 hour from here in Pleasanton, so it was a nice drive, and dave draper is a great guy, someday I will head back down there for another change of pace workout, and I will stop in at golds and say hi, and catch a workout, congrats again and take care.

Hey Benny go easy on the equipment otherwise you'll have to fix your own "mess". I hope your gym has a Power Rack(Isometrics Heaven)

Hi Ben,
congratulations on finding a new job. Working in a gym places you in first class to spread the word about body-weight exercises.
