Hey Friends, Please Read.

Hey Forum Friends,

I received a PM today telling me that a man that I have befriended and that has been a good friend to our forum members has posted something on someone else's forum that was not in good judgment. In an effort to humiliate this forum member, they have sent me our forum members IP address and a message to prove that he was posting on their forum.

Now bear in mind my friends that the only purpose for those guys to tell me, was purely to embarrass the man that I have befriended and to make me doubt him. Well It didn't work. So let me tell all of you something. I would never, under any circumstance humiliate or embarrass any of you. The people from the other forum are vindictive and by doing this they have proven it. And so for our member that has been targeted by the other group, let me just say, My friend what did you expect? Did you think I was wrong about them? And did you really think that guys like that would not try to humiliate you when you left their circle? Now you know first hand that everything that I have ever stated about them is 100% true. So let me state right here that unless YOU prove me wrong I am going to trust you and I could not care less about what someone else has to say. And once again, they have proven themselves. So don't let this in any way, shape, or form prevent you from posting here with us, YOU'RE MY FRIEND UNLESS YOU PROVE ME WRONG.

Edit: This was written sloppily and understandably misunderstood. See below for clarification. In case you don't, the object of my irritation is that someone would call John like a little kid tattling. My irritation is with that person, not John in any way.

Hi John,

I got the same PM from the same "well meaning" character, but he was already banned, so I couldn't reply and tell him to take a hike. I've lost a couple of good friends to that forum. They never believed me about how the manipulative and vindictive atmosphere over there would suck them in. You are what you hang with. You lay with the dogs and you are going to catch fleas. I guess that sounds harsh, but it is true. They accuse you of running a cult, but they have a cult of hate going with the only common denominator being a hatred of you and anyone who thinks well of you.

This forum is all about helping people better themselves. Unfortunately, some unsavory characters sneak in every now and then. That's just the way it is. We just clean off our shoes and keep marching.

First off, my apologies to John, here and in a PM. I had/have no gripe with his part of the post in any way. I wrote poorly.

That is in the second sentence. That's when I stopped reading. I got disgusted at "they." Give me a break! "They" sent what, to do what? What for!? Jeesh, "they," get a life. "They" are like little middle-schoolers, bickering over who is best friends with whom. Jeesh.

So, John gets this PM. It's not his fault. He has to deal with this idiocy. I have no gripe with how he is dealing with it. Respond? Ignore? I dunno. There is no right answer. I just can't understand why a "they" would care so much and act like a pre-pubescent teen. I'm assuming "they" are older than that.

John, I understand that you support a forum member. I take that for granted, and that's a good thing. No, I haven't read the rest of the post. If it weren't for "they," it wouldn't be there. I'm ticked at "they."

Hmm, it goes to show I shouldn't have broken my rule and shouldn't have responded. I got hot under the collar and wrote a lousy post. Hot under the collar for what? For a virtual nothing on a computer screen. Jeesh. I'm an idiot.

Just so "they" doesn't have to call to prove that I go to other forums, I do. I go anywhere I can for exercise ideas. I do a very decent job of not looking at threads that are schoolyard squabbles. I do my darndest to ask myself, "Will this benefit my health, my fitness, my life?" If the answer is "No," I go to another thread.

I ended my post with a too-vague, wistful plea that the whole world would ignore the "theys." It was just a rhetorical wish. It will happen just before we have world peace.

To sum up: I apologize to John here and in a PM for an unintended insult. It was my bad writing and therefore my fault. All insults should be directed at "they."

And to further sum up: I am going to redouble my efforts to look ahead and steer clear of any posts that don't benefit my health, my fitness, my life.

And I ain't coming back to this thread.

Unless I blow it and insult someone again and have to apologize.

Hey guys, not sure what in all the PMs said, but yeah it was me over there. I was messing around with these guys in a thread they started called "THE TIME TO STRIKE IS NOW!!!!" where they were calling themselves to arms against the "Evil John Peterson". The really funny part is that it was not a joke! :shock: They live in a kind of fantasy lands where they're battling the forces of Mordor (little Lord Of The Rings reference there for ya)

Anyhow, yeah, in mocking them I got a little down in the gutter with the man-children; some offensive language and imagery. Bad judgment on my part :foot-in-mouth:, hope no one here was offended by whatever was in the PM. I guess they thought that if John knew I used a dirty word he would ban me.

To them I say, sorry guys, I ain't going anywhere. (Right now they're hunched over a keyboard, sweat dripping from their brows, feverishly writing a scathing critique of how big of a loser I am. Oh man, I can hear the key clicking from here! It takes extra effort on their part to write complete sentence, you know. And to that critique I say... :yawn:)

And to John I say, you always have me a friend in me. Same goes for everyone else around here.

Yeah I feel the same way-I rarely get pm's(this Bear doesn't bite friends-well hardly anyways-lol).

Sorry that happened John,it would seem that these folks are really trying any angle to put down you and your remarkable system.Perhaps they should just stop the jiber-jabbering pick up a copy of PYTP and get busy finding more about themselves.

I really like that you supported a friend.I tend to be very loyal to friends as well.I have said it before this morning my brother-man I miss our conversations!

Hey Tom,

I think you bring balance here. I wouldn't want to see you go. We differ on some things and agree on some things, but it is never vindictive, mean spirited or antagonistic. You've always been a gentleman towards me, even when you've taken me to task in the past, and I might add, usually for good reason.

Budgie and Big Bear, don't feel left out about getting some of these goofy PM's and having people try to pull you into some kind of imaginary fracas. I am not sure why I get targetted and bandied about their forum. Believe me, I don't feel privileged. But, some people don't like it because I am a big fan of John Peterson and have no problem saying so. To them I say, this is a big internet Universe. Why come here to disrupt?

No person is infallible. Not one. The whole purpose of what I posted above was to reinforce something that I live by and that is that I will not turn against my friends just because someone is trying to use them to hurt me. I think it was a really sick thing to do to try and hurt me and one of my friends by supposedly exposing him.

P.S. Tom, I "get it" about your reference to "they". It literally reminded me of a scene from "The Wild Bunch" the one about, "Who is 'They?". I used "they" in this instance because I did not want to dignify who 'They" are. Believe me, I appreciate your participation here.

That's what losers do. They form themselves into groups with other losers and reinforce their own inferiority by attacking other people,but never individually-always from the protection of the group. I know of such a group here where I llve. What makes these clowns even more pathetic is they do it over the internet with people they have never even met. Usually such groups congregate as regulars at some bar. I guess the anonymity of the internet eliminates the need for booze to give you courage.

Some people may not know this, but "they" aren't competitors to John Peterson or people who have any kind of financial interest seeing John fail. "They" are a group of about 5 middle aged men with no motivation other than too much free time. Hard to believe, but true.

I was one of the people that received this PM. The first thing that went through my mind is are they kidding! The second was a little bit of anger because they where sending peoples addresses and information when they had absolutely no business in doing so. How did I end up getting an email (actually a PM) from ipchecker?

Somebody just signed in and sent PM’s to what I assume was a random group of members.

I'm leery of the internet anyway-do they have our email addresses ?

Rest assured. They do NOT have your email address. They simply sent you a PM. And, I would assume you have your profile set to send you email notifications of posts and/or PM’s. So, don’t worry. You shouldn’t be bothered too much.


And, for future reference, it’s probably a safe bet that you can ignore names like “IP Checker”.

Hi all,

I got one of those PMs too, and you know what these guys remind me of? The kind of guy who is in an unhappy relationship with a woman, and then the woman wants to out of the the relationship. So does our anti-hero go away, do a bit of mourning (or maybe a lot) and then get on with life?

Noooo!

His reaction is to stalk her and harass her. He calls her up at work. He shows up at her place of work, making a scene. He threatens her. He impersonates her on internet bulletin boards, portraying her as someone looking for a casual fling. He sometimes trails her and then beats her, maybe even kills her.

I'm not saying they (or even any one of them) is that type of extreme cowardly bully. But after being informed that they are not welcome here, instead of just going off, they have to keep on coming back, harassing, plotting "attacks," as they brag about on their forum.

I think that's just plain sick. These guys need to get a life and quit obsessing and ruminating.

Personally, I don't care who of our forum brothers and sisters post over there. And I don't think it's any of my business. I'm much more interested in what they do here.
