I am not sure the exact date, as I can't find the old post, but around this time five years ago I logged onto this forum for the first time. I had just discovered bodyweight exercises and came across Harry Wong's Dynamic Tension book. I asked John a questions about the safety of these types of exercises relative to high blood pressure which was a concern of mine. He answered them and I went on to purchase PYTP and IPR. We spoke at some point and needless to say I came away with the impression John is an honest guy who sticks to his principals and is out to help people get in shape.

I have done a mix of BWE, ISO and DVR on and off since them. At the end of 07 I suffered a pinched nerve which could be the result of weights, pull ups or too much racquetball, squash or tennis. Three months or recovery finally allowed me to raise my arm over my head and move pain free.

After switching jobs and being away from the forum, I am finally returning to the racquetball courts, but find myself out of shape. I am committed to returning to good shape and after reviewing my old training logs, found my most enjoyable and effective workout was what I called the Tiger moves plus five. The five Tiger moves plus the atlas flex and press, standing hamstring curl, one legged calf raise, liederman press and wrist rolls. This is done after a joint mobility routine. I plan to return to this routine three days a week and incorporate some running and racquetball.

As I review the forum It is great to see some of the old names and it saddens me to see that other who had contributed in the past are no longer with the forum either due to banning or moving on. Yet, what works stands whether one or everyone believes it.

Thanks for reading

I think it has been at least four for me. I was happy to find a site/book that made posing, called DVR here, legit. I had been looking for something like that ever since I read Arnold's book in college (30+ years ago) in which he mentioned posing itself being a workout. I have PYTP, Miracle, and the Isometric book. I've learned a lot here.

5 Years ago today I was getting married :)

Congratulations, kenpopaul! I'm amazed at the number of marriages that don't last even five years. I wish the very best for you and your wife.

This past August marks 5 years for me.
In August 2003 I ordered and received PYTP.
I began using it immediately. I had been doing pushups
for about 9 years at that time, but only standard pushups.
PTYP opened the doors for me to endless workouts. I have
all of JP's books and a pair of Power T's. I have been coming
here since 2003, but at first only as a guest. Getting PYTP
was one of the single best decisions I ever made.

I purchased PYTP on 09-06-03, I still have the invoice from when I ordered this great book, besides ordering 3 books and the power ts from John, becoming a member of this forum is the greatest gift of health and fitness I could have ever done for myself I have met some great members on this forum, and learned a great deal of things also, when Johns next 2 books and dvds come out I will add them to my collection, thanks again John and all the great members for allowing me to be a part of this great network of friends, your all great.

Well it has been two years since my last post. Things did not go as planned, but I finally have been able to return to exercise and have switched to swimming. I never was able to pinpoint why I got a pinched nerve, it may have been weights, pull-ups, tennis or racquetball. Today I was able to return to the courts after a nearly one year lay off and play a few games.

I am glad to see the forum is still active and hope to participate more this year.

Thanks
