Gruntbrain and others,

I've been working out regularly for more than a month. I've been using the exercises from this system. I enjoy the workouts and have gained strength.

John and Gary B have made it clear that Warrior T's are not for beginners. I appreciate their being up-front about that. I know that I'm not ready for the Warrior T's.

What do you think about using PVC T's (one for each hand) to work my way toward the time when I'll be able to really benefit from Warrior T's? If they make sense, I'm thinking of starting by doing wall push-ups with them.

If PVC T's do make sense, are there different lengths of PVC for PVC T's? And what would you recommend?

Thanks for your thoughts, guys and gals! :act-up:

Pushup T's made from PVC work fine & require no construction' a visit to a hardware store will yield all the components that can be fiitted together; a short fat vertical is best for beginners

If concerned about durability go with galvanized steel components

Before I went back to the states back in July, I used the pvc ones and they worked fine. I tried the galvanized in the hardware store and made a fool of myself. They were already threaded so I screwed on a T to about a six inch piece of threaded pipe and tried to do a pushup on a tile floor. The first two went great but the third my right arm slipped and I went face down onto the floor. I was with two of my boys and they thought that it was pretty funny! I would have whipped them when I got home but they are bigger than me now. Just joking! The first set that I made out of pvc was out of 1 1/2 inches and the last set was out of 3/4 inch. I would recommend that you start with a larger diameter. If Costa Rica is anything like the Dominican, make sure that you get scheduled 40. They sell a scheduled here that is so thin that you will be busting your face every time. You will need two Ts, two pieces of pipe and two caps of the same diameter.

Wooden dowels with PVC T connectors work fine . Add some PVC or rubber endcaps. Whatever, T option you use be mindful of the working surface; using padding( eg carpet scrape) as necessary.
