My older son is starting high school in two weeks, and is joining the wrestiling team. He has been performing VRT for over a year and a half now, and is in excellent shape to join the wrestiling team. I engaged in a conversation with his soon-to-be wrestling coach, as I attended his enrollment into high school which took place two days ago. He gave a very positive comment about my son's physique, and noted that his height (5' 9-1/2") and weight (160 lbs.) that he would do quite well in his weight class; broad shouldered and with a six pack, shirtless he looks quite, well, stunning. (Okay, too much fatherly pride here I guess.). I explained my process of his physique development, and the coach is extremely impressed with VRT, and I am going to initiate the program here. This is one step up, as most wrestlers incorporate power cals in their workouts, and my VRT will absolutely add muscle weight to the students' physiques. One way to get the word out is high school football teams.

Incredible news, Greg!! Congratulations!
You should invite your son to post here, I bet he'd have a lot of information to share and might even learn something :)

Hey Greg,
I've got my fingers crossed on this one. This could be a big boost for VRT training.

Hey VRT Man,
I'm sure you're being completely objective about your son.
And hearing about your success in introducing VRT into your son's school is great news about a very significant development. We're all pulling for you.

Greg that sounds great! VRT will give wrestler's the strength they need without impacting on thier speed, VRT is made for Wrestling and Contact Sports! This will be a great way to introduce the advanced concept of VRT Training into the System. Good News travels fast so it will spread.

What other training has your son done to achieve his physique? Physique aside & wrestling practice aside, what does he do for conditioning?
I suspect wrestling sparring sessions themselves are great conditioners; I'm thinking partner assisted isometrics/isotonics

That is a great concept. I have done a lot of traveling over the course of my life and have always been thankful that I came across this type of exercise as I could do it wherever I was at the time. If students are taught this type of exercise in highschool it will go with them for the rest of their lives. When I was in the Army I was required to take a course called "defensive driving." It didn't take very long [about 1/2 hour] ,but it really influenced me as the principles have stayed with me to this day and I not only apply the principles, but think of the course from time to time. VRT Is one of those things that can be life changing and go with you wherever you go. Once you have learned the principles you can apply them creatively to a wide variety of situations and they will strengthen you both mentally and physically. Great idea!
