Hey my friends,
As many of you all know we just got back about a month ago. To tell you the truth I was a little depressed. I did do alot while I was in the states but didn't get to do some of the things that I really wanted to like meet some of you all. When we got back here we ran into alot of problems. Somebody had stolen some of the diesel out of our generator and left the cap off and some water got into it during the storms. One of the security guards noticed and put the cap back on but forgot to tell me. I didn't know it and started it. Water got all the way to the injectors and cut off. Our stove had been torn to pieces by rats while we were away. Did you know that rats like to chew gas lines? They also chewed the refrigerator cords. Also, if you remember, I hadn't been working out so I was physically, spiritually and mentally down. Well I got back into my workouts and tonight I knocked out 250 which is under half of what I was at but I slowly getting back. Not too bad for two and a half weeks. Before going to the missionfield I was a mechanic so I was able to get the water out of the generator and get back up and running. The fridge was an easy fix but irritating. I just bought a new stove. The previous one had cooked a lot of beans and rice and was well ready for a replacement. I bought one that was about the same model so I have spare parts. All of the folks in our churches down here have really tried to help and have been calling daily to let us know that they are glad that we are back. As you can see from my photo that I have a beautiful wife whom I adore with my whole heart. We have 7 children at home and 2 in the states. They all look like their mom so they are beautiful. The 2 in the states are doing great and are involved in the church although they both got laid off from their job just recently. Please pray for them. Best of all, the Lord sure has poured out His blessings on me lately and I feel great!
Now my prayer request is that I will be leaving on Thursday for Barahona to host a medical clinic in the first church that we started. Please pray for alot of souls saved, alot of people helped both physically and spiritually and for our safety. Times are real rough right now here in the DR. Also please don't forget to pray for my boys. Jake starts college in January. I am sure that I will write again before Thursday.
Your friend,
Aaron
