So recently I was doing my workout and I started to get rather hot. Instead of getting all sweaty though, I simply opened the door to the cool autumn air and was able to stay at a fairly normal temperature for the rest of my workout. My question is, is this lowering the effectiveness of my workout? I know for a fact that if I left the window closed I would be sweating a lot, as 500 pushups gets the heart rate up and the body warm.

Is lowering my overall temp making m workout less effective? Please I'd love to hear everyones thoughts.

Stricly a guess:
I almost always train outdoors & I feel the cooling breezes are a benefit. Artificially sweating as in "Hot Yoga" seems to be counterproductive. One gauge of a decent ENDURANCE workout is sweating while minimally dressed in cool weather.

hmm interesting point. I wonder though if there's a counter point, anyone?

I'd guess that overdressing during ja workout just to sweat is not good; sweating from a tough workout is. Sweating in a suana may be a healthy practice but I'd suggest not doing strenous workouts in a suana..
