Hello all I'm Jason Everett i'm 22 and joined the forum around a month or so ago. I have witnessed all your gradual progress with the transformetrics system and can i just say wow great job! that must not have been easy to achieve, I purchased Pushing yourself to power last year and it has been a great exercise tool, yet i could never stick to it properly, i was always going back and forth, but not now i have begun again and will not stop until i reach my future goal. But may i please ask for some tips on how to contract the muscles without straining and knowing the difference between training and straining, I have never quite caught that concept.

How did you begin?, and what were the pytp exercises like for you in the beginning? did you start light and build strengh or did you push as hard as you could? sorry for all the questions it's just i find learning so confusing sometimes and well... difficult hope you understand.
i personally like the first lesson best most probably because i have never got past the first lesson haha :D tiger moves are also excellent,i was just watching a youtube video of a yoga instructor called Sadi Nardini and in one of her shows she showed how to take pressure off the wrists during pushups or tiger moves, which is somewhere i think a lot of us can feel pain. if i have permission to post this, then i'd be happy to.

thankyou all so much i'm sorry if it is a lot to ask, but your'e all a total inspiration coming from a Hopefully now ex anorexic. take care.

Hey Jason,

Glad to have you. Please don't take this the wrong way but the first thing to do is to commit. Next get used to the exercises before you start pushing hard. Best advice I can give you is what some of the guys taught me here on the forum. Get in front of the mirror and start practicing the different exercises as described in PYTP. It doesn't take long before it becomes second nature.

If you want to talk pushups, that is what I love the most. I believe that I have had great results with them. One thing that I would recommend that you purchase is the Power Ts if you decide to do a lot of pushups. You won't be able to do a lot of them but the ones that you do on them are greatly intensified plus they are a lot of fun.

Also, Jason, John has a supplement called Chisel which will help you out tremendously. If there is anything that I can help you with please let me know.

Welcome Jason!

I started on Tiger Moves and keep them in the mix cause they make me feel great! It's especially invigorating to do power breathing between each set.

In PYTP, chapter 3, there is a routine that includes the 7 Tiger Moves and adds 5 more for a well rounded and complete routine.

I'd like to echo Abhslh's comment about picking something and sticking to it for a while. I think you will be pleased with the results. As Mr. Peterson has said, there is no one perfect exercise for everyone. It depends on what you are capable of doing (without pain) and will actually enjoy doing.

Feel free to try it all as we believe we are our own best trainers.

I think you will find that the enthusiasm around here is contagious and there is always something to learn. The humor is often self-directed and sometimes funny - LOL. Check out the Joe Justice "He Man" video.

All the Best!

Welcome Jason!
I can only echo the sentiments from above.
Pick something that looks fun, do it and then learn something else. Lather, Rinse, Repeat till your 89 years old, then write your own exercise book and start your own forum.
Just remember, this is supposed to be fun.

Just stick with it. The only failure is quitting.

One definition of straining is when your speed of movement and form breaks down. In a pushup, for example, if you start sagging or turning it into a butt-up---stop.

Thankyou abhslh you are right, that i must commit and have done and feeling like i have worked out but not exhausting. I saw that Chisel product looks great, i will have to purchase this next pay date.

Viking Dan thankyou for clearing this confusion, i'm so glad this is what that means :) as i have been performing my exercises this way.

B38 i checked out Joejustice on youtube Super cool, a great inspiration for all of us.
