Sardines am awesome and so can you! Eat them two or three times a week. Not good with beer, though.
Do you guys like sardines? What's say we start a discussion on this topic for with we can exchange the ideas that we have in possession of our brains?

I take sardines strictly for the perceived health of it & certainly not for taste; there's mucho ways to get rid of the yuck factor. Being a small fish, they're much less likely to be contaminated
As a bonus, they're CHEAP at dollar-type stores

I do really like sardines and according to what I've read, they're very healthy fish; low in mercury with all of the good protein, calcium and Omega 3s. I'll admit I can't really take them plain, but the mustard and hot sauce variety are tasty, tasty, tasty. On a hard workout day, or a recovery day, I'll eat them an hour or so before bed.

Never had 'em. What are they?

Grilled sardines are great.
Even sardines bought in cans - eaten with lemon juice - are just a pure pleasure.
It is a pity I've come back from shopping session : i've forgotten to buy some. It will be for next time...

Note canned versions of healthy fish like mackerel, sardines, & salmon also come mucho sodium. Often tomato sauce is used with the canned stuff & it comes with high sodium. Tomato paste on the other hand is ultra low in sodium but works quite well as a "yuck killer"

Love 'em. I eat them almost every day. In my lunch salad during the week (packed in oil); in my breakfast omelette on the weekends (packed in hot sauce). :in-love:
Oh yeah, and I love 'em. Now I'm curious of the cost per ounce, protein grams, etc.
Haven't eaten them in a while. The last time was before there were any flavors. Heck, there was only one Pepsi flavor back then, too.

Wow! I pay more than that for a lousy 4 oz can! (The "on sale" price of the 4 oz --really 3.75 oz--cans that I use is 99 cents. Whenever they are "on sale", I stock up.)

I always have a tin of sardines in my lunch box! They are my default, "go-to" nutrition solutiion!
I always think:" If I had nothing to eat, these would be GREAT!"
And actually, they really are, given those parameters....
But, the ones with mustard are FAR superior to those without!
There is a new store that I pass when going to town. It's called the 99¢ Plus Store.
That cracks me up. What were they thinking? It used to be a foreign food place, so the current owners may not be native English speakers. Still cracks me up.

Sardines on bread with lettuce and mustard. Washed down with strong black coffee. That's keep you gong strong!
