Hi, All –
I have just finished 6 weeks of my first 12 week Transformetrics program, and I would like to share my experience with you at the midway point. At John's suggestion, I am performing 12 weeks of Power Flex (the standard 8 week program, followed by an additional 4 weeks of adding the abs workout to the daily routine of chest + other body part).
To recap my starting point – I am 49 years old, 5' 9”, and have been obese for quite some time. My weight was at an all-time high of 270 lbs when I started changing my eating habits at the end of April this year. I have never been athletic or exercised consistently, with the exception of the time I spent in the military many years ago. In May, I started exercising with the WII fit; silly, I know, but it enabled me to get my butt off of the couch and start moving. In July, I started working out with a couple of Biggest Loser DVDs and alternating it with yoga 3 or 4 times a week. By the time I was ready to start with Transformetrics, I was down to 225 lbs.
So now it's 6 weeks later, and the changes in my body are dramatic, to say the least.
Scale wise, I have lost another 15 lbs :-) Guys, I am thrilled with this, but this number does not do justice to the changes in my body. I have made more progress in transforming myself in the last 6 weeks than I did in the previous 3-4 months.
I failed to take measurements or pictures when I started Transformetrics; I was more obsessed with the scale. This attitude has changed, so I will have these results to share with you when I finish the first 12 weeks. But I can tell you that I am down one pants size, and am getting ready to drop down another size in the next week or so.
Physically, I can do things that I wouldn't have believed I was capable of 6 months ago. Like dozens of atlas push ups every day, and modified atlas sit ups.
My energy has improved dramatically – these workouts energize me, not drain me like other workouts have.
My health is probably the best it has ever been; I've been watching the people I work with (and my wife) get hit one by one with the flu, yet I haven't had a sniffle.
Thanks to things I've read from John and Gordon (Andy62), I have discovered Paul Bragg and the Bragg Healthy Lifestyle, and have begun to live it. Yes, even the apple cider vinegar 3 times a day. I have brought my eating habits more in line with their suggestions. I'm getting ready to start reading the Bragg book about NERVE FORCE, and can't wait to learn how to improve mine.
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that I have found an exercise program and lifestyle that I can live for the rest of my life. I would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement.
And to those of you who doubt, or sit on the fence, or need a kick in the pants to get started – this stuff works, and it works well. Give it a try – you'll see what I mean.
A work in progress,
Brian
