Yes,but Putin didn't challenge Bush- he waited until he was a lame duck and then took military action.

Putin is smart and ruthless! My guess is he had Obama investigated and he watched the International betting pools, the Bookies are usually right. One Bookie declared Obama the winner weeks before the Election and paid off the bettors, he might have had inside knowledge about fixing the election.

Obama is weak and Putin knows he will roll.

If you go back to Obama's first press conference to me it was obvious that he was a different man than at the time he was running for election. He looked aged even in a week and his bodylanguage showed the pressure of stress. When Candy Crowley asked him if after seeing the classified intelligence reports he had changed any of his previous assumptions he deferred and avoided the question. General Petraueus has now been appointed the head of Central Command and Obama would be crazy to go against his recommendations - no President wants a blood bath on his record. There are even rumors that Obama is considering keeping on the current Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. In the end there is reality.

Gordon there is two Obama's one that reads aloud a prepared script, has lots of makeup and looks cool. In the Debates with hillary we saw the same Obama as from the first Press Conference. A man that flusters, petty, mean spitried, angry, temper tantrums and erratic, that is the real Obama when he is not reading David Axelrod's script, off script we get the real man. Axelrod is his Svengali, I've wondered if Axelrod was Hypnotising the great speaker before his speechs? Maybe Obama is Trilby in real life!

And Putin will know it, he is a slick, smart operator. it is not fair that Russia got Putin and we got Bush and now Obama. Obama is Bush-lite.

Part of the reason is that the President really doesn't have all that much power and the ability to influence things to the extent that Putin can.

Mike,
You are right. People are going to see(especially his adoring fans of the Left), that Obama is just another puppet of the Fed Banksters. Except for some left-wing shenanigans, i.e. National healthcare, etc., Obama is going to advance the Globalist agenda. He is NOT the DOVE of peace he has made himself out to be. One already sees him filling his cabinet with former Clintonistas. THAT is "Change"? Lol!
Madeline NOT-so-bright might even be returning! Lol!!!!!!!!

There was just an interview on CNN with a Taliban leader concerning the elecion of Barack Obama. While he acknowledged that the election of an African American to the Presidency could be beneficial to to American Blacks he pretty much continued the same old rhetoric about America's involvement in Afghanistan. Military Intelligence sources say, however, that Obama's middle name of Hussein and the fact that he is an African American could make it more difficult to motivate the local populace to fight against the Westen Military Coalition with the same enthusiam as they did in the past.
