Although I have been doing this for some time, I never really thought of how powerful bridging exercises are. I want to start putting more bridging exercises to my routines. Some of you may agree some may not but I believe mixed with DVRs/DSRs/Isos/PCs Bridging is one of the best methods in fitness. Not talking about just the wrestler's bridge but the front, Gymnast, Wall walking, kneeling back bends ect. The more loose the spine, the more strength, flexibility and agile the rest of the body is. Holding a wrestler's bridge for 5 min. with deep breathing not only gives off a natural high but just gives a great sensastional feeling that I don't think any other method can top. Not arguing DVRs and the rest of our methods but just saying from personal experience bridging has given me not only peace and omfort after a few min. but a great attitude for life itself. One of these days i'll make a video of doing bridging exercises.

Mega thumbs up for bridging. In addition to the aforementioned bridging styles, I use the following for bridge platforms:

a pair of pipes angled off a sturdy bench

"gymnastic rings"

Bolted down pullup/dip tower( I use it much like wall walking)

wn pullup/dip tower( I use it much like wall walking)

I agree with you Ben and gruntbrain!

Along with the wall walk they are an outstanding component to what we do here.Sometimes I really feel this, when I step away from it a couple days or a week-then I will say to myself,'man these are great, get back on 'em kiddo.'

peace,

I often "cheat" when performing timed neck bridges; I'll do some offloading with hand support & gently roll my neck to further relieve discomfort
