I've got several Mormon friends and know others that store food. The Federal Government has issued a FEMA bulletin on the topic; recommedning each family have enough food and water for a two week supply in case of emergency. http://www.fema.gov/pdf/library/f&web.pdf

Friend's that are not into survivalists stuff; are doing that and more; just in case of emergency. I'm thinking about it and know I should but haven't taken the first step yet. Really food might be the ultimate self defence for those two weeks until emergency responders can arrive.
