One of the great pleasures I have reading and being involved in this forum is getting to watch people's progress! It's really great hearing about personal victories big and small. So with GUTS having been out now for awhile, I was wondering how everyone is doing. Even if you haven't gotten GUTS, I'd love to hear how your training and generally fitness is coming along. Anyone out there doing things they never thought would be able to do? I know I am. Anyone having ups and down? I get those too, but with the caliber of friends we have here, it's easy to get over the down times.

So let us everyone else know how you're doing!

hello jcwolnik,

That was a great first post. Thank You! Enduring strength, that is what real strength and fitness is all about. Thanks for posting your results. I look forward to seeing many more posts from you in the future.

Joe,

I've learned that I have a long way to go to achieve respectable numbers and currently my total workout takes only 12-15 minutes at the max numbers I can do on the exercises. I also learned that the MILO at the end humbles you but is a tremendous overall upperbody exercise. I'm whipped after it. Last, I learned I can't do this everyday as I'm sore still after one workout.

Thanks for asking. I'm doing fine. And you?

With my recent placing of my pull-up/dip tower between the kitchen and the hallway so I would do something every time I passed, I got dumb and inflamed my shoulders. I mentioned that in some other post. It's not a permanent injury or serious, so I'm just letting my shoulders forget my stupidity for a while and I'm not doing dips.

I am doing pull-ups, though. Close-grip pulls don't seem to inflame my two year tendonitis. I've gotten to do quite a few half-pull-ups, keeping my range in the middle of what would be full range. I do sets of twenty bounces I call them. They are NOT pull-ups.

Things are going well and I get the feeling that I'll be back to real, full-range pull-ups someday.

I want a full jungle gym in my apartment.

Other than that, I'm still down at the 183 lb. range since a few years ago when I joined you in your race. I'm pacing back and forth psyching myself for the next run to low 170's. It's like getting ready to jump into a real cold pool. I'll do it, just, uh, ok, now, no, wait, maybe tomorrow, ok, ok, I'm going, wait . . .

Hi Joe,

This is the time of year that I tend to put on a little extra weight because of the colder weather. But, G.U.T.S. seems to be keeping it off. This is my second full week of G.U.T.S. training and I am very impressed. It is tough, effective, and hard. It is like striking a primer with a hammer. That is the effect on the body. I liked the Trinity of Health routine, but for me, in most ways, this is more productive. It also works well with the Warrior Tee's.

Hey Joe,

Everything is going well down here in the Dominican Republic. We don't have much time for anything other than work and working out. We haven't got our GUTS yet due to our slow plane service but look forward to getting it soon. The boys and I knocked out 500 pushups a little while ago and feeling great! Caleb and Ben are looking great! Caleb is losing weight still and his waist is down to a 34. When he started he was a 38. Ben is putting on muscle everywhere. If we ever have another contest, Ben will definitely give you all a run for your money.
