I recently attended a couple seminars with Larry Wick. After reading his article in BlackBelt magazine I was excited to see if what he had was for real. After attending his two day semniar in Arizona and California I am here to tell you that this program will change the way we think about self defense forever and make you switch your tactics. His concept of not waking up the body and not fighting force with force are hard concepts for many martial artists to accept. Once you see him in action and feel how lightly he engages as he disarms his attacker you see he truly has an amazing program. The light touch and split second moves doesn't allow even the most trained person to react, struggle or defend themselves. He easily defeated multiple attackers with and without weapons. You may say well we were just letting him do the moves!! That could not be farther from the truth. He would tell you what he was going to do, allowed you to get ready to react and still by the time your brain could process what just happened the weapon was in his hand and you was defeated. I left the seminar with a new look on self defense and the basic concepts I learned could some day save my life. His idea of always looking for multiple attackers and thinking of every attacker as an armed one and not locking up both hands on the attacker will open you eyes to the short comings of all other self defense programs on the market. I am here to tell you Larry Wick is the real thing and he is changing the self defense world forever.
