Okay, I know how important diet is for size and appearance, but how important is it for strength? That might
sound like a dumb question, but I've never really been into that aspect as much as the other two. Can I expect to get stronger even though I might be eating less? and what about the types of food? is it just as necessary to eat high protein when you want to get strong as it is when you want to get big?

I'd appreciate any responses from anyone, but especially those who have experimented with dieting and
strength training.

Thanks a bunch!
Tink

Eating to excess will cause you to grow stronger provided you are working out faithfully. Bodyfat will also increase.

Most people are looking for relative strength. Strong for their weight. Therefore you have to eat clean. I've read that if you diet and exercise strenuosly it signals the body to not eat into the muscle and therefore a person could lose bodyfat.
