Got back from the Split Second Survival Gun Defense Workshop in New York City two weeks ago and as always Larry shows why its one of the best out there for dealling with this kind of threat.
Sorry Everybody, Larry did ask me two weeks ago to jump on the forum and tell everyone that he was okay and was just having trouble logging into the forum, so when I did get around to getting back on i see that he's already back in .......sorry Larry:embarrassed:. Well I guess I'll let you know about some of the cool things that were demonstrated at the NY SSS Gun Defense Workshop.
The class started off with a showing of SSS's Live Fire DVD which illustrated why a conventional disarm of a gun will get you either burned by the BLAST, or cut by the SLIDE, the latter and former will happen with semi automatics pistols if you're foolish enough to disarm them incorrectly.
In a nutshell, the DVD demonstrated that the gun takeaways that are shown by the so-called experts don't take into the account that the weapon may discharge and muzzle blasts and slide actions will injure hands, faces and hearing so much so you could be taken out without ever getting hit by an actual bullet. Therefore any method you use must be with those thoughts in mind. Sorry ya'll I've got to end this, I'll post more on the Workshop before Saturday.
