DON'T THINK PINK!!!

Now what are you thinking of? I said, "Don't think pink!" So why are you thinking pink???

Whenever you're visualizing it's important to understand how the mind work and it works through positive images, not negative. If you constantly tell yourself, "I can't miss my workout," what you're really doing is reinforcing the image of missing your workout. If you think, "I can't have chocolate cake," what you're really doing is dwelling on chocolate cake!

Don't think and visualize in negatives ("I don't want to be fat") always think is positives ("I'm gaining muscle tone"). Actually that one brings up an interesting point. Be careful with words you use to talk to yourself. You don't want to "lose" fat, because losing has a negative connotation. You want to GAIN, not lose. By shedding that weight, what do you want to gain? Focus on that gain and not on the loss.

Always use affirmative words and phrases when you talk to yourself, never negative because the human mind does not work in negatives.

"I'm going to workout tonight at 9:00" rather than "I can't miss another workout."
"I'm going to eat an apple. I love apples." rather than "I can't eat apple pie."
"I'm going to work on my flexibility" rather than "I can't touch my toes."

As a thread snipe: what do you think about the phrase "I'm gaining muscle tone"? (since you brought it up).
At one of my chick forums, alot of them jump on that phrase like you're so stupid if you say that.
Their contention is that you cannot "tone" a muscle. You either "build" muscle, or not.

Honestly? I think that's just someone being a jackass.

If you're asking for help in gaining muscle tone, people know what you mean. If they're going to attack your phraseology, then they're not really interested in helping. They're more interested in either excusing their own failures or trying to show off how smart they are.

Bob Proctor, positive thinker and one of the authors in the "The Secret" says in regards to money, "if you say to yourself "I want to get out of debt", I don't care if you want to get in, or get out; start a debt repayment program, and stop thinking about 'debt'; start thinking about prosperity, abundance, and money." Think about what you want, not about what you don't want.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he…

I think it's just a case of semantics, myself.

Semantics? Yup. "A rose by any other name is still a rose." Wasn't it Shakespeare who said that? Toning, building, defining, sculpting, any way you look at it, it's a "work in progress" on the muscle tissue. Tell those chicks on the chick forum to lay off, Donna!

You can also tell them to go pound sand; which I hear tones up the glutes!
