Seems a lot of stories I read this time of year describe people trying to "survive" the family. It strikes me that I really get a long with the vast majority of my family and we have very little drama. Yeah, I have a cousin or two that went to jail and yeah we have a few nasty divorces that have taken their toll. But around the holidays we all get together and really enjoy each others' company. This is a time of year I really look forward to because I get to see all of my extended family.
Also, we don't have a lot of drinkers in my family. So that might explain why there are no fights. Most of the horror stories I read about usually begin with, "After the third bottle of wine Aunt Betty said..."
Now my mother in law.... that's a bit of a different story...
What about you guys? Horror stories or good times around the holidays?
