Ok, got the book in the mail on Monday, read it Tuesday; worked out Wednesday and Thursday; my quads are SCREAMING from the Tiger squats! But incredible, full body work out, sweating and exhausted by the end. So far my numbers are:

Atlas III PU -26 Muscle Failure with 20 seconds left
Atlas SU - 50 first round
TS- 60 in two minutes seven seconds (muscle failure) couldn't go any further still had 9:xx and change to go
Atlas SU - 48 second round
Atlas III PU -17 Muscle Failure with 35 seconds left
Milo 20/20 - 15/15 (I thought my arms were going to fall off)

I am off on Fridays, so I took today off, back at it (also needed recovery for my legs, seriously my muscles are so tight I can barely walk) Back at it tomorrow.

Glad to have stumbled across this book!

Ok, since I haven't worked out this hard in a long long time,; I thought there is no reason to kill it. So to that end, I took 2 days off. - My legs sincerely needed it. My quads were so tight....anyway. Back at it yesterday!

APU III - 26 (muscle failure with ten seconds left) - Same as last time
ASU - 50
Step ups on 12-14" step: 317 in 12 Minutes (it was FAR easier than Tiger squats, going back to TS today)
APUIII - 20 (muscle failure with 32 seconds left) - Up 3
ASU - 52
Milo 20/20 15/15 (I never time these but I feel like my arms will fall off like one of those action dolls that my kids own)

Ok, today went like this:

APU III - 26 with ten second left. Muscle failure
ASU - 61
Tiger Squat - 92 (8:47 left - leg muscle failure)
ASU - 50
APU III - 7 (Muscle Failure) Dropped to knees still incline +15 more. completed time.
Milo 20/20 15/15 ...can totally understand why Uncle Milo was ripped! Shoulders, triceps, biceps, forearms, upper back - all sore.

Unbelievable workout! Must break 26! If anyone is reading this, should I knock out more sets of pushups during the day to help build my endurance?

Ok. I missed yesterday; want to add I work six 12's over here in Baghdad. Little sleep, so morning workouts are out. I usually do my GUTS before chow; if I don't I have to wait til 8:30 to get it done. Well yesterday, i was bushed, missed doing it before chow so I skipped. *Guilt*

Today was good!
APU III 30 17 sec left (power of the spoken word) I said, I'm going to do 30, and I did!
ASU 60
Tiger Squat: 100 8:12 left Woo Hoo!
ASU 58
APU III 20 with 27 sec left should have pushed harder, though don't relish falling on my face when Total Muscle Failure kicks in!
Milo 20/20 15/15 (Still can hardly believe how well I feel this cutting, shoulders, tri's, bi's, forearms!)

Clint,
Welcome to the forum and G.U.T.S.
When performing the Tiger Bend Squats, try doing them in sets of 25-30 reps with sets of 20-30 reps of Power Steps in between. Doing this, will flush the negative ions (the burn) from your quadriceps and allow you to continue. This is the way I approach the center of the routine each day and use the entire 12 minutes so as to achieve the desired effect John mentions on page 38.

I hope you have an air-conditioned room in which to work out!

Hey Clint,

I rarely get over to this forum but today I did and I have enjoyed what I have read. You certainly are making superb progress. The synergy of these exercises makes for one superior strength, physique building, and conditioning workout. Follow Pastor Tim's advice and you will be well rewarded. It's great to have you with us Clint.

Tim thanks for the heads up and John, thanks for the welcome note. I did the first week, got a bacterial infection and was off for more than 10 days. started back up and slowly building back. push myself to do 10% more than the day before. That has been helpful. I have upped my situps considerably. I am now hitting 75-79 on my first set and pushups I'm hitting 30. On the squats, though I'd done 100 before I am at 62, and not overdoing it. Walking was rather painful afterward after my first jump in. I will give a shot to what Tim mentioned and see if I can work into the full twelve minutes.
