We have been reading your posts about rebounders and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations for a good brand or what to look for. We have been researching and there are plenty available. We would like your opinion on which one to get and what to look for in a good rebounder. My sister had one over 30 years ago and it was tight and uncomfortable to jog on. I am sure they improved them since then.

I had an Urban rebounder for several years and it was great. It was well made with strong springs. I eventually sold it just to try something new.

Thanks Andy! I have been looking at those and the price seems very reasonable!

My sister has a rebounder, called her, she has a Body Flex: The Body Burner. It came with a DVD and 3 workouts, booklet and instructions, has a stability pole to help with balance to and the whole thing tilts so you get the effect your are going uphill. Has numbers like a clock for dance. You can read the reviews at Amazon. I put it together for her. She got a good price, advised you to shop around online.

I read an article that Woody Strode's son wrote, his dad used a rebounder. This is just as good as a treadmill from what I've heard, just costs a lot less.

hey Friends,

In terms quality that best rebounder that I have seen is that made by http://www.cellercise.com/. This is the brand that I personally use. It is extremely well made. I'm sure there are others but this one is exceptional.

Until you get a rebounder you can use Royce's Invention, his "High Stepping" use dynamic tension as you march in place, bring the knee's high. Not as good as a rebounder but it is light weight, portable and can be taken to the beach or on vacation or anywhere and weighs zero. This should work as well as a rebounder, treadmill or stair climber, in fact "High Stepping" can be any of those just wish it.

Thanks MikeNY and John for the recommendations. I will certainly start practicing the Royce invention until we find one.

Aarons wife, I agree with Mr. Peterson about the cellerciser. last year I was reading about the many benefits of rebounding. I traded in some old equipment at a sporting goods store for an "inexpensive" rebounder. What a mistake that was! I started getting neck and back pain due to the poor quality of the rebounder. The bounce was hard due to the short springs. This past February our daughter moved back in with us and she had a cellerciser. Ive been using it and the quality is fantastic. I have no neck or back pain after using it. I do my isometrics and tiger moves while bouncing gently on the cellerciser. It has helped me get a flatter stomach also. The inventor of the cellerciser does isometrics while rebounding on the dvd that comes with it. Hope this helps. Good luck, Lou

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice and questions concerning the rebounders. To answer your questions, we do some interval training occasionally. We just ordered one and it should be in next week. We basically got it for two reasons, three actually. One, it was recommended as a good tool for using in between sets of pushups, pullups, squats, etc. plus help burn fat. Two, I read that it is good therapy for weak ankles which our fourth oldest son Benjamin has. Although he is in excellent shape physically due to the program taught here (we do GUTS every other day and 500 pushups the others) and we play a lot of football, he has extremely weak ankles for some reason. Just last week he twisted his ankles twice on flat ground playing ball. Thirdly, I am getting it for our daughter Katie (Princess) who is a diabetic. This is something that is healthy for her.

Anyway, thanks for your input. It has been rather useful and informative.

I do the m7 while doing the health bounce. Isometrics the same way. as far as intervals, I do tabata intervals while moving my arms like Im skipping rope while doing the health bounce. The arm movements make the health bounce go faster. I do 20 seconds at a faster rate then 10 seconds at a slower rate then repeat. I cant do any high jumps for cardio because I have 2 fractures and a partially torn tendon in my left ankle and a partially torn acl and meniscus in my right knee. the health bounce works fine with me. The fact that Mr. Peterson uses the cellerciser has made me want to do it even more. good luck,Lou, (Kong2).
