Hi All,

I've been reading through Lesson 1 of the Atlas course and was thinking of doing the chest exercises (or the ones in PYTP) every morning when I get up and last thing at night before bed.

I was wondering if anyone on here trains this way?? and if so if you've got good results from doing so?

I've trained early morning before but never before bed too. I'm thinking of giving it a whirl for 10-12 weeks to see what results it gives.

Hey KenPo Paul,

I have for more than 45 years with Atlas's Perpetual lesson. Morning and Night. Even if it is just a few reps of each due to other more pressing matters on some evenings.

Those are my two favorite times to train. If you do the same exercises morning and evening, definitely don't go to failure. Instead, follow Steve Justa's advice and train to the point where you feel stronger at the end of every workout.

AP,

Google Charles Atlas Ltd. They sell a very beautiful version of the Atlas course you get as an e-book. It has a different set of pictures from the course I orginally had in the seventies. These show a gray templed Charles Atlas, probably in his late forties or early fifties, doing the exercises on a beach. He looked fantastic.

Excellent!

I think I might start the Atlas Perpetual lesson twice a day then starting tomorrow and see how I get on with it. I've been thinking of doing such a thing for a while now, and the time feels right.

Duff - I agree with not going to failure. As atlas say's "Train, don't strain" - great advice.

A great way to wake me up in a morning and also get me ready for bed in the evening.
