Hi,
Here are some pics from earlier this year, before my recent brushes with death.
When I was discharged from hospital 10 November, I was 30lbs lighter than when these shots were taken. I have since put on 5 lean pounds & when I'm not too embarrassed with my physique, I'll post some new pics.
Take care,
Steve

Don't worry, and save some recovery pics for comparsion. You will come back better than before. I am looking forward to seeing a Steve Reeves look-a-like built with Transformetrics.

Steve, You obviously have great internal strength and that is what brought you through. Swoboda said that we all evolve through life's stressful situations and you have certainly done that. You will soon realize that you are stronger now than your were before the health crisis- it will take some time, but it will come. All true strength comes from within and you have it. Gordon

Here's a couple of shots, 7 months since my life saving operation late October 2008.
I am going to focus on increasing my shoulder width, reducing the size of my waist & evening up the measurements of my upper arms.

Hey Steve,
It looks like you are putting some muscular size on. Is there a weight difference either way? Also, how are you limited in your workouts? What kind of things are you doing to adapt?

Hey Greg,
I'm actually - apart from when I lost 19kg when I was sick late 2008 - the lightest that I have been in 7 years. This morning I weighed in at 81.6 kgs & have trimmed 1 1/4" off my waist in the last 4 weeks.
Regarding training limitations it's hard to explain, however I'll give it a go. An example is when my arms are extended above my head, as when performing Atlas Sit Ups, my stomach fells like it is "pulling" and if I work too hard I have really sore internal pain that lasts for days. I'm sure that it is only muscular.
Considering I shouldn't have made it, I'm glad that I can feel anything :)
Take care,
Steve

Steve, You are doing great. DVRs are a great rehab exercise. I would stay away from situps for the time being or orher calisthenics. For your abs why not start with the abdominal contraction from Tiger Moves. Go slow and project into your muscles, but don't push beyond your comfort level. Give yourself time and go easy. Gordon

Thanks Gordon.
Your suggestions make a lot of sense. I'll let you know how it goes.
