WOW!!!!! I have to admit i was never a believer in DVRs. I just did my first workout useing the tiger moves and i think im in love. I have never got such a good pump in all my life, and i feel so good. I can bardely type right now because my hands are shaking so bad. Im still getting used to it but it felt so good every upper body exercise feels like its working ever muscle in my upperbody. Im so pumped right now, i thought i loved push ups but DVRs are my new routine.

I must be doing something wrong because I just cant seem to get a hang of the DVR's, I can pretty much do everthing, DSR's, ISO Powerflexes, but with DVR's, I just dont know what im doing wrong. Do you have any tips?

gs300tx,
I didn't really feel much from DVRs until I started applying tension in both directions of the movement. Some people only apply tension on the positive portion of the motion, but that never gave me a very good pump. Also, it helps to use light weights to get the hang of it for some people.

Well im a beginner so im no expert yet. Im doing the tiger moves in the Dvr section of pushing yourself to power. I didnt get it either until i put the effort in. You really have to concentrate and tense your muscles. When i got Johns book PYPT i didnt read the Dvr section because i was first interested in the PCs. They key for me was doing the exact exercises John shows in his book. I have never felt so good after a workout. I dont know if this helps but like i said im just starting so hopfully someone else who has been doing DVRs for a while can chime in. If your good at Iso powerflexes you should beable to get the hang of DVRs if you practice.

For me, the Tiger Moves were so demanding that I had a very hard time doing three sets. Usually I could only do one or two sets of each. Even what I felt was only "moderate" tension was too much for me.
I switched to doing only Greg's VRTs (DVRs done with different motions and with tension only in one direction...although you can use tension in both directions if you want.) Through the VRTs I learned to conscious tense or relax individual muscles much more effectively. That enabled me to go back to the Tiger Moves and control the resistance much better.
I alternate between Tiger Moves and the VRTs. For me, they're a nice combination. All DVRs/VRTs.
You may want to focus on which moves help you tense and relax specific muscles at will most effectively. Just a suggestion.
