HI All,

I just returned from a wonderful wilderness adventure, nothing but bald eagels, golden eagles, swans, and untouched wilderness. It really makes you think about life as you sit around a campfire in the middle of nowhere where survival is all up to you. There is no help, you are alone, cut off from all society as we know it. You have to live on your ability to plan ahead, prepare for the worst in a land of beauty that can take your life in an instant. It got me thinking, how are people prepared to survive in the worst situations possible. Do you have the knowledge, the tools, the abiliity to think ahead to be a strong individual that can help the ones you love and not count on the government or laws to save you. If a crisis strike and the world goes Mad Max like in New Orleans, what have you done to prepare. I am curious, all of us on this forum should get together with ideas that most of us can incorporate to increase our survival success. If you nave any ideas lets hear them. Be safe, your friend, Larry

Larry that is a very good question. It is my hope we never face that; many people sense that the US reached a turning point and is headed downward. The question is how far. My guess is we will become Argentina 2000 or South Africa, massive crime, unemployment, Governmental Corruption and a 2nd or 3rd World Nation. But as I;ve said before and this is an important but, US Retirees have been moving to both Argentina and South Africa for a cheaper retirement. Now i know they live in either a Gated Community or a Security Building but if retiree's are going there it is not that bad!

Now Mad Max is possible, the Iranians reportedly want to use Nuclear EMP Weapons on the US, Europe, Israel and the Sunni Arabs; they'll fire a Nuke 500 miles above Chicago and burn out most of the USA and much of Canada and Mexico with just 1 and thre have been reports they plan on using MIRV MIssles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_independently_targetable_reentry_vehicle and have fired Missles off of shipboard in preperation.

The basic needs are food, water, security and light. I know how to garden and have heritage seeds, a British Berkey water filter, and followed my own advise on secuity, plus I'm retired Law Enforcement. Have Silver coins in a safe deposit box, and should store some food and candles, right now have got batteries, lanterns and flashlights. Through Martial Arts developed an interest in accupressure, and was traught by my Judo Sensei, have books on Chinese, Herbal and Accupresure Medicine.

If someone uses an EMP weapon on the USA alone sciencetists project that in 1 year 90% of Americans will be dead, and that is if the World is helping the survivors, fairly grim forcast. I preferr to think we get recession and Argentina.

Hi Larry,

I envy your excursion to the wilderness. Survival though, can be be broken into specific skills to be brought against specific situations. The common thread for survival, whether it be in a wilderness, an urban jungle, or a corporate boardroom are a willingness to be aware, assertive, proactive, and to be adaptable to change.

Develop your intuitive abilities and keep alert and observant no matter what environment you are in. The best book that I have ever come across on survival is" The Survivor Personality" by Al Siebert Ph.D. Dr Seibert has made a life long study of survivors starting with combat survivors and his book is very informative. One of the great quotes from the book is"In combat the Rambo types are the first to go."

Hello My name is Justin. I am new to this forum. I would like to say I had the chance to attend the clinic with Larry Wick in Livermore, Ca. this last weekend. It was GREAT! I don't know where to start really? What I can say is that anyone who values their own life or the lives of others needs to spend some time with Master Wick. I have read some of the backlash he has received and I think these folks are way off base. For one, how can you criticize something you have never done? For two, open your eyes because the world is round and full of color. Not just flat, and in black and white. With myself I can say ( because I was there ) that what Master Wick teaches is mind blowing and effective to the core! I have been in martial arts myself for about 16 years. I try to educate myself on different styles and technics to make me a better martial artist as a whole. Although what Master Wick teaches is not classified as a martial art it does teach you how to defend yourself from what seems to be impossable situations of survival and how to keep from getting in those places to begin with! I cannot say enough possitive things about this program! I could go on and on but I would like to say THANK YOU again to Master Wick and Master Pacini for teaching me to be a " Proffessional " ! The training has changed me for the better. I hope one day I myself ( with lots of practice ) can become "soft " enough to change someone elses life! The next time we have the opportunity to train together again hopefully the " Tin Man " will have become water! Thank you gentlemen!
