Hey guys. I have been wanting to say this for quite sometime and i apologize if this sounds a little corny. All my life i hated my body. I have a lean build with very good definition but not a lot of muscle. The type of body that looks great when your shirts off but not so good when its on, you skinny guys know what i mean(clothes arent made for us skinny folk). For years I tried to fight my genetics and build a huge body lifting heavy. The only thing it got me was a knee injury. I was very depressed because i wanted to have huge muscles so guys would respect me and of course attract the ladies. After i join this forum all that changed. Mr. Peterson, and all you guys taught me to like the body that i have and now i love it. I like having the bruce lee bodytype. I now know that i can never be the biggest but i can be ripped as heck. Thats my genetics, thats whats special about my body. I am by no means saying that i have the best bodytype the guys on this forum who have huge muscles look awesome and thats your genetics. So please dont think im bragging, im just saying i am finally training for what my body is good at.
I also wanted to say one more thing. When i joined this forum i thought it was going to be like all the other forums i had joined(because i didnt know John yet), where the person running it never posted, the guys could be incredibly rude, cursed like sailors, and saw skinny guys as weak and pathetic. So when i joined this forum i had my gaurd up and was prepared for the insults i got on other forums. Becuase of this i was very rude to certain people and said things i regret. I probably should have been banned but Mr. Peterson gave me a second chance. For that i am very grateful. So i just wanted to say sorry to anyone i was rude to and thank you for giving me a second chance Mr. peterson. This forum has really changed my life. You guys are the best.

Being an overdeveloped weightlifter is not what it used to be. The public perception has changed. Where people used to be very impressed today they say - "he's on steroids".

And most of the time the public would be right.

Tony, glad to have you around!
One of the things I like about Transformetrics is the focus on health and performance rather than just big muscles. It's a much more rewarding way to train, in my opinion.

Yes, Joe, you are so right. Obtaining a nice body is just one slice of the pie here. A healthy diet, positive attitude, and a good work ethic are a few of the other issues that are addressed on this board. I really think you get a bigger overall picture here. I also think that is what Charles Atlas was trying to achieve in his course as well.

Hey Tony,
Just like Tom and you I have the more of the "lithe" skinny type body. But I have found out from ten months of training with these methods it is not just about having "big" muscles. It is about being healthy, physically AND mentally fit, and being able to enjoy life the best you can. So like I have said time and time again. I am SO glad I found John Peterson and Transformetrics . It truly has changed my life. Anyway great post Tony and All the best.

I'm happy you are here!!It great when we discover that any true change comes from the inside out not the outside in and that never works because you still have that person you don't like except in a different package-Kevin

This really is a great forum, i can honestly say that it has changed my whole outlook on health in general. Ever since I started the transformetric workouts, i have been getting compliments from people that didn't even notice me. So I would like to thank John Peterson and everyone here on this forum for being supportive and encouraging.
Here is to transformetrics. :beer::beer::beer:

Tony84,
It is the American way for most of us to be unsatisfied with the way we look. Your look, as you have described it, is the look that has the most choices of clothing on the rack. It is the way that many males of all ages wish they had. I am now overweight. When I go to the store, the few larger sizes are usually gone and the only ones left are your size. When I was younger and in great shape after I came home from Viet Nam, the clothes would not fit. I had a 46 inch chest with a 32 inch waist. I had to pay a lot for tailoring.
I am glad you realize this forum is composed of great people. You are now one of them.
Recently we went through a real problem here. It has left the forum with many members no longer posting great questions. There has been much less activity here. I hope this is a temporary problem. We lost a lot of good info background. It has shook the very nature of our members. I have been one of them. I hope this forum can recover. i have never seen anything as great as this forum. When you stop to realize it is free, it just blows my mind. We are so fortunate.

I probably learned more about health and exercise from the guys on this forum including John P then anywhere else I research in. I'am although in the Matt Furey Inner Circle and his information is powerful as it is straight to the point but this forum is second no take that back first to none on information that people would pay huge amounts of money otherwise learning the "secrets" we all share and love. Other than exercise this forum has guys I could really get along with in person cause they are kind, unselfish and very helpful on what someone can learn from these systems that is Transformetrics. I rely on methods that keep in great shape and prevent me from injury and Transformetrics has given me that gift and power all in which have be apart of this family of some of the most awesome people on the planet inside and out.

Thank you for the wonderful post Tony!
You hit on so many points about the body, other forums, and this forum.
The thing that is nice here is the transparency.A brother or sister at home even later in life is not afraid to tell his other brother or sister how he/she feels and at the same time to be helpful. This is definately a family here,so rare to find in cyberspace,in particular when dealing with the body.
I have not been on as much due to many circumstances(which I do not care for-but it is a reality for now)-welcome here my friend, there is no other place like it!
peace,
jason
