Hi,

I know that it's too late to enter the contest, however I thought I'd share my recent transformation.

The first photos were taken 28 March & the other two this morning. All photos were taken unpumped & with a mobile phone.

Take care,
Steve

P.S I would have loved to have had a chance to win the transdermal creams :(

Steve. That is really great progress and very inspirational. None of us know when and if life is going to hit us with a karate chop and it is good to know that we have Transformetrics to back us up and help us rehab as you have done. Gordon

Hey Guys,

Thank you all so much for your kind words & compliments, I really appreciate you all.

I hope that my progress can inspire those facing physical & mental adversities. It's now 19 months since I was discharged from hospital & I'm determined more than ever before to be the best Steve that I can be - physically, mentally & spiritually.

Take care,
Steve

Hey Steve,

I still can't get over your shoulder/waist differential. You do have very similiar genetics to guys like Steve Reeves, Frnak Zane and a little known Brittish bodybuilder from the seventies they used to call the Brittish Frank Zane. I can't think of the guys name, but he used to have his photos appear a lot in the early issues of Muscle Mag International.

Thanks guys.

Greg - I have always admired the physiques of Steve Reeves, Frank Zane & Bob Paris. One goal that I did have & now have again is to possess a shoulder width of 24". The widest they have been is 23 1/2", that is until now!

Serge Nubret is another whose physique in my opinion is near perfection as well.

Take care,
Steve

Genetics may have a little part...but it looks like shear hard work has been paying off, Farrout! The breadth of the back is what is really amazing. Are you performing a lot of pullups in your routines? The lower lat development is really noticeable and this doesn't happen sitting on a couch thinking about it..........

Hey Isorez,

Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it.

To be honest, I cannot remember when I last performed a pullup or chinup.

I am fortunate that my lats tie in at my waist.

Steve

I do not do any pulls, chins or rows, however I'm thinking about starting.

Steve

P.S I love to have to walk sideways through doorways :)

Serge Nubret is another whose physique in my opinion is near perfection as well.

Whew, you can say that again. Being a competitive bodybuilder, Serge did use steroids, but his training was with light weights, tension, and very high reps. I remember reading in an old MMI where it talked about Nubret doing a set of 800 reps in the free hand squat, and then after a rest doing a set of 700. Another article I read by Vince Gironda talked about Serge working his lats with nothing more exotic than a variety of chinning movements.

Now Nubret claimed that his bodybuilding was purely cosmetic, but the man had to have had a great deal of endurance and strength to do that many squats. I don't know if they were on the toes or flatfooted. But, being in that bridge between old school and new school bodybuilding I'd guess they were more like ballet squats.

Hi,

I thought I'd have some more photos taken yesterday as it was my 43rd birthday - 10 October.

The scarred mess around my stomach area is from my operations October 2008. One cut had 50 metal staples to hold it closed. I am very self conscious of how they look & not comfortable with a top off.

Take care,
Steve

Hey Steve,

Looking good, especially around the waist. I like those indentions on either side of the abdominal wall. The bicep looks pretty good as well. Not bad at all for 43. I am surprised no one has ever tried to recruit you for modelling. You've definitely the right build for it. Coincidentally, my youngest brother was born October 10th and just turned 44.

Here's a couple of shots my wife took of me yesterday unpumped.

A few hours later, my right shoulder dislocated for the 2nd time in a month - this time from throwing a rock in the backyard!

Had to go to the hospital to get it put back in. It came out again this morning in my sleep, but only partially & fortunately I managed to get it to go back in.

Hey Steve,

I got your text message. There has to be something in your diet you're lacking or a side effect of a medication you are taking that is causing your ligaments to weaken like that. I'd try extra manganese, extra calcium, extra magnesium and extra vitamin C.

Beside that, you truly look fantastic. You have the closest natural shape to Steve Reeves of anyone I've ever seen. The capstone shoulders on wide clavicals look great.

Hey Greg,

Thank you for your kind words & compliment, I really appreciate it.

Yea, there must something that I'm lacking & can take to increase my ligament strength. It hasn't dislocated now for a week, so that's something! ha ha

Training as you would expect is limited to isometrics, DSR & DVR's. I have not tried to do even one pushup yet & would probably be foolish to try after only being back in for one week.

I wont be combining alcohol & codeine again. I mentioned it to John, when we spoke earlier today, who said that is it dangerous to do so. When I told my wife, she did mention that I seemed a bit dozy in the night.

Take care,
Steve

Hey Buddy,

The waist is superb. I know the scar tissue from your surgery was bugging you, but you've definitely overcome that. As well the pectorals are sculpted with the right amount of size and deliniation in the lower pec line. The shoulders, not just the width, but the shoulders are capping up well. You are doing an awesome job, and are developing a physique in your 40's that is very similar to that of a physique star and model from the seventies named Wilfried Dubbels. I envy your natural width.

Hey TejasT,

Currently my training is nearly 100% isometrics, DVR & VRT focusing on developing a proportional & symmetrical physique.

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the compliment, don't get many so when I do it is cool :)

My weight has been around 81-83k for the last two years, so I haven't lost any weight at all. What I have tried to do is add & take away to get the look I'm trying to achieve, which is a proportional, symmetrical & aesthetic physique similar to Steve Reeves. I still have a long way to go LOL.

Take care,
Steve

Steve Reeves' physique is the best that I have ever seen, I'd go so far to say that it was perfect.
