Hi friends, I am very weak looking in my physical appearance. I have tried a lot to make my body get a good built up; including a healthy diet plan and tough work out sessions, but did not get any satisfactory results in my body physique. Does anyone know, what is the best way to get out of this skinny looks?

Firstly, welcome to the best Forum on Planet Earth!

I second everything that Tom has suggested above. You cannot build anything out of nothing, so increasing your calories is vital to providing energy for your normal daily activities, training, repair & growth.

Personally, I find that eating "clean" nutrient dense food is the best. If you fill up on not so nutritious food such as junk food, lollies, soft drinks etc you will not gain as well as if you had eaten better food.

Take care & all the very best in attaining your goals,
Steve

CC,

Tom's advice is pretty good. Keep it simple, get plenty of rest, don't feel guilty about training every other day instead of every day, eat plenty of nutritious food, and have faith in what you are doing.

John's template of 100 rep Tiger Stretch Pushups and 100 rep Tiger Bend Squats are a good way to begin. John Peterson's Trinity of Health DVD is a good start. I also heartily recommend Jom Forystek's Powerflex DVD which features his sons in his version of the old Atlas Dynamic Tension course.

If you have had injuries or have a weight training background, Greg Mangan's Visual Resistance Trainining video is also a good place to start. All three video's emphasize a different approach, all are equally effective, and as well are inter-related.

Hi CarrollChris,

Welcome to the forum.

You sound very frustrated, and I can see why. You have worked very hard to transform your body, and you do not have the results you want.

If you don't mind, I have a few questions that might help others help you.

What age range are you in?
Do others that love you think you look unusually skinny?
What kind of diet do you eat?
What kind of exercises have you been doing?

As far as advice, at this point my best advice is to find some exercise and diet routine that you enjoy, that makes you feel energized.

Perhaps I or others will be able to make more specific suggestions when we know a bit more about you.

And thank you for opening up your feelings to us and for joining us.

Regards,

Alan
