I don't know what it is about the number 100. It has become like the 26.2 miles for me. Setting number goals for fittness have helped me to stay focused.
I have been doing this program for the last week. I like the structure and the timed rest periods. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried them. I printed up a little booklet that I can carry around in my wallet. You can't beat standard push ups for convenience.

 What do you think?
I haven't personally tried those programs but I agree about 100's magical properties. Since gaining weight and losing that number it's been my goal to regain it. Something about 3 digits just makes it seem like a real mountain of an accomplishment.
Hah, thank you friend,
I won't derail stingray's thread by talking about myself but perhaps I'll post a back training thread or someone else can if they are curious.

Thanks for the post Ray. I agree that doing 100 pushups has taken on the status of doing
the marathon. 100 non stop pushups is not easy....and therein lies the attraction. I would
also add the practice of doing 1,000 pushups a day to this sort of mystique.
I have finished over 50 marathons and many, many ultramarathons. I never won or
placed in the marathons, but I did win one 50 miler, and placed in several 24 hour races.
But it was not about winning or placing.....it was about the accomplishment. I felt good
about myself when I did this....as I now feel good about myself doing 1,000 pushups a day.
Unless some one asks me directly ,no one knows about this. But that does not matter, I do it
for me....I feel better about myself knowing I can do this. And that makes me function better,
confident but not boastful.

Hey Stingray,
I have seen both of these before and they both look like decent programs. I am thinking about trying the twenty pull-up program and see how it goes. Anyway thanks for posting this and All the best.

Hey Tom,
I agree I wouldn't mind having a back like Mike. Also Mike if you wouldn't mind could you post that training tread? Thanks in advance. All the best.

I think I am going to give the 20 pullup program a try. I had to stop pullups recently because of a shoulder problem but I feel much better now. This looks like a solid program
A plan is the key. However sticking to it .....
Remember the newest plan always looks the best so do not get caught up searching for the silver bullet. As long as it follows simple principles it will work if you keep at it.

Mike, I'd love to see you post a thread on back training.
P.S. I'm still catching up with posts after being sick for a few days. I hope you haven't started such a thread and I've overlooked it.
