Guys,

It is time for me to move on for awhile. I am posting this here, because of the Defense of Andy thread. It was a mistake to post that. I am not comfortable with what ensued and is still ensuing. For those of you who have befirended me over the last three years - thank you. For all those who despise me because I like John Peterson, I hate it for you. I wouldn't look the way I look or be able to do the things I do now if it wasn't for John. For those like Shen who have had falling outs with John - I hope we meet in better circumstances. Perhaps even here again one day.

Adios

Greg, Sorry to see that you are leaving. I really don't think posting that thread was a mistake as it brought out some interesting things. I think being honestly confrontive is a virtue. Best of luck. Gordon

Greg!!

I would say I'm speechless, but I'm confident that everyone would know that that is rarely the case with me :)

Please don't be gone long! Your advice and insights have been very positive and motivational to me personally and I have appreciated all of the help you have given me.

Come back soon,
-Joe

greg, sorry to see you go. quite honestly i hope you change your mind. i have been looking at this site for almost a year now. and have just signed in to post. i enjoy the excercised on this site and have learned a lot from many of your posts. i have seen all that has happened recently and have been upset with it myself. but if people continue to leave ecspecially those who are great contributors than this site will no longer be what it is today and in a sense we will have given in to the negative influences. i understand you have no idea who i am and this is my first post. but i found this site when the charles atlas forum was down for so long. when it came back up everybody had moved on and it has never been the same. i look at these posts everday and feel like i already know a lot of people here. hate to see someone of your caliber give up on the entire site just beacause of a few recent and negative posts.

Greg,

I'm so sorry to see you and your lovely wife leaving us. I hope you'll be back. I wish you would reconsider.

You are only responsible for your actions here, not theirs. You were not the villain of the piece.

I agree with your sentiments about John. He's a great human being, and like you, he has shown me several now-obvious principles of gaining and maintaining fitness, principles that I had not quite gotten before.

Really, those folks from the other board view themselves as having been on some sort of mission, to "expose" John and Andy.

What they did expose is their inability to deal with being rejected here, and they played the role of the classic internet troll.

As my little brother says, "let he who is without fault throw the first boomerang."

Regards,

Alan

Greg you and your lovely wife will be missed and this site much poorer with the two of you. Greg I too hope you absence is short lived and you return as soon as possible.

The fighting is useless, and hurts them more than those they attack. Being negitive must be boring all the time.

Once again Alan was eloquent and hit the nail on the head. Hurry bck both of you.

Strickland, At age 70 I am not vying with others over my build. NERVE FORCE is what I have concentrated on and it has worked for me. I have profiled all of the guys that you are talking about that have come here trying to discredit this forum. They are a weak and not very smart group of people. With the state the economy is in they had better be more concerned with their NERVE FORCE and forget about their obsessions because many of them are in jobs that are threatened and unless they strengthen themselves from within they probably won't make it.

40 qnd 50 year old man/boys playing macho. There is no more pathetic and vulnerable group in our society. You guys are all a joke! You have fat Parker on your site -where is his picture?

I am sure that even Parker wishes that were true.

He is just another broken down weightlifter that has set a record for the amount of orthopedic surgery that he has had.

It would be hard to come up with a business plan that would create interest in this site on the magnitude of the what the fear and paranoia in the minds of a few scared and aging macho men have produced.

Well,

Moving on, didn't last long. I upset a lot of folks who like me being here. I apologize for that. I had thought the apology I put on John's forum covered that I wasn't gone, but I had a phone call from Nathan tonight wanting to know if I was still going. Soooo, I'm still around.

I also see from the replies without queries from Andy that there has been another round of exchange with various people who don't like Andy or who don't like this site. I'm not too happy about that. Name calling and insults don't further any debate on either side and are just that; name calling and insults. But, I understand Gordon has some help now in moderating this forum and hopefully the barbed exchanges have ceased.

Greg it is great to see you back. This forum would be much less without your participation. I had help all along as you always do when you are going against cowards like we have seen on this site. The strength of John's commitment and personality have made this forum a very rare and desirable one.

Nobody is insulting others. We have had a few people here that have put themselves down. We want to see people strong not weak. It is up to them.
