Dr. success

I don't know how many members are into football, but for anyone interested, here are my early Week One picks:
CHICAGO over Detroit
Detroit has had the worst pass defense in the league the last two years and hasn’t won on the road since 2007. Pass-happy Martz should have a field day. Bears win by more than a TD.
TENNESSEE over Oakland
Vince Young has proven himself a winner (26-13 as a starter). Oakland had a lot of trouble vs. power running teams last year. They lost 7-44 to the Giants, 0-38 to the Jets, 7-24 to Dallas, and 13-21 to Baltimore. The Tennessee ground game could have a big day.
Carolina over NY GIANTS
Carolina closed out last season 3-1 with a scoring margin of 100-46. Giants closed out 2009 with a 1-3 record and a margin of 99-142. Matt Moore played as well as any QB in the league last year. Carolina pulls the big upset.
Arizona over ST. LOUIS
Whisenhunt is the most underrated coach in the league. St. Louis is the worst team I’ve seen in a long time. They were a fake field goal away from being 0-16 last year. I don’t care if Bradford starts. I don’t care if Feeley starts. If they win this game, it’s the biggest upset of the day.
BUFFALO over Miami
Comparing stats between Chad Henne and the two Buffalo QB’s finds them almost identical. Buffalo has the better pass defense and special teams.
JACKSONVILLE over Denver
This pick is contingent upon the weather. The hotter and more humid it is, the stronger the play on Jacksonville.
SEATTLE over San Francisco
Despite his dubious ethics, Pete Carroll knows how to win. Alex Smith has never had a winning record, and Frisco is particularly bad on the road. Players “quitting”, the GM leaving under mysterious circumstances… Something is amiss with this 49er team.
Baltimore over NY JETS
Jets are the most overrated team in the league. Without their two gimme games at the end of last year, they finish 7-9. Baltimore has the better QB.
WASHINGTON over Dallas
Washington is the most improved team in the league. McNabb has a strong winning record and Shanahan is known for fast starts. Dallas is loaded with talent, but hasn’t scored an offensive TD in two preseason games.
The other games I have no opinion on.
