I refuse to let being time crunched put a kink in my workouts. It is back to school and for me that means back to work and back to stress. Several non-negotiables for me are prayer time, family time and my workouts. I don't think I could deal with the stress of teaching in an inner-city school without exercise. So, have decided to test my GUTS level and then rather than do one intensive workout, I will do 2 shorter GUTS workouts a day. I am throwing in some other stuff as time allows and as I feel the spirit move.
I am also cleaning up my diet. Stressful times induce bad eating habits in me and I found the No-S diet extremely helpful in finding a healthier balance.
So here are my results for 9/4. I don't think I did that badly considered that push ups have been the cornerstone of my previous workouts.
I decided to take Joe's advice and just use a kitchen timer to time my workout. When the time was up I would catch my breath and reset the timer for the next exercise.
I will be doing the Atlas 3 push ups with feet elevated about 12" and using push up bars.
APU=35
AS=77
TBS=100,50,25,25 (From previous experiences I have learned not to max out on these on test days, or else I won't be able to walk for the next couple)
AS=65 (had to pause slightly to talk with kids)
AP=35
Milo 20/15 I had to back off on the tension in order to do these sets
I also ran for about 20 min. easy pace just to enjoy the cooler weather.:victory:
