Herbal tea:
Many here take vitamin supplements, self included, but is anyone using herbal teas? There are blends that can be found in health food stores, supermarkets, and on line for cleansing, diet, blood pressure control, restful sleep and many more things.
So I’m curious if anyone here is using herbal tea as a regular part of there personal health program? If so what in particular are you taking and what results have you had?

I drink both Detox and Decf Green Tea with Ginseng. The brand i like most is Triple Leaf Tea.It is a Chinese American owned company.I have a good sense of well being after drinking a cup or two. That might sound a little bit esoterical but i dont know how else to explain it.Also whenever i try to quit drinking coffee they seem to help.Of course the evil been always calls back to me and its not long before im caving in for a nice cup of Joe,especially come this time of year.
I like Yogi tea. it is made with milk added at the end of the boiling process. The cinnamon in it heats the body. Excellent drink for those cold winter days!

Gary,
I don't drink herbal teas except occasionally, but I had an odd experience with a green tea and ginseng blend I was using a few years ago. I had a tooth that needed extracting and it was several weeks until the dentish could see me. It was very painful. The only thing that temporarily relieved the pain, was to drink the green tea and ginseng tea.
Greg,
That’s interesting, green tea and ginseng for a bad tooth. I’ll try to remember that but hope I never have to use it.
I’ve been trying to drink more green tea lately. As with vitamins I don’t really notice any changes but believe that the long term regular use is beneficial.
I do like peppermint tea and lemon tea. From time to time I take AM Detox from Celestial Seasonings.
Jan – is Yogi Tea a brand or a mix? Is it found in Health Food stores?

I'm not a coffee drinker, love the smell, but can't stand the taste. As a result I'm a tea drinker. I recently bought an electric water heater so now I'm drinking a lo more of the stuff. I find that it's very soothing. I don't know where to attribute that though; the heat running through me, or the tea itself. I will drink any tea but Earl Grey, for some reason just never liked it. A final note, I generally like to start my day with a cup, not because it wakes me up, but it just helps me start the day out peacefully.
