Effects Of Fatness And Fitness On White Blood Cell Counts
A study published ahead of print in the British Journal of Sports Medicine finds that fatness increases the level of inflammatory activity in the body as measured by white blood cell counts. Researchers also found that levels of inflammatory activity are lower in people who are more physically fit.

hey Gary,
I like the new Icon "Mr. Power T" it fits you well my friend.
The article you have referenced is especially valuable since it has been discovered that "inflammation" is a major component of heart disease, cancer, and many other illnesses. I hope every forum member reads it. Thank You for posting it.

Thanks John and Nate,
I wish the photo came out better I’m actually doing push ups on a pair of sais.
The inflammation factor is what caught my attention. I’m assuming that this could also have a great impact on people with arthritic conditions as well as the conditions you mentioned. Once again indicating that exercise is the closest thing to a cure all and the fountain of youth that we will ever find.
Here’s another try at the photo - Ithink if you click on the image it will enlarge for better viewing.

Sorry can’t seem to get the photo attachment down. Give me time I’ll get it.

Speaking of Inflammation, there is a way to greatly reduce the amount of inflammation in your body.
It slashes your risk of heart disease.
It will give diabetics 50% greater control (or better) over their glucose.
It will improve your appearance as you age.
It will let you eat steak well into your 90's.
It takes maybe 45 seconds, once a day.
It's Flossing. Now get to it!!
Cliffa74,
Great point, thanks for posting that. Simple, effective.

Cliffa74 great post!
I can not floss, just don't worl with my hands. But I do use an stimudents, an electirc tooth brush and a waterpik! You guys that your fingers and hands are not made for flossing just try stimudents they work and are easy to use. The waterpik is worth it's weight in gold and I recommend it to everyone even floss user's and the Crest SpinBrush Pro Whitening electric tooth brush is a steal!
I've read that many illness start with poor dental health and most Americans have gum disease and that can be cured through simple cleaning!
Clean teeth makes for a happy Transformetrics Guy!
