Hey Joe,

I have tried these before and they are a PRETTY good exercise. One thing I like about them is that you are working almost if not every muscle in your body. Anyway great video my friend and All the best.

Joe,

You're a beast! Fantastic workout. I read a review of John's books the other day that suggested the kind of routines recommended therein were good only for beginners and aerobic gym bunnies. Real men need to hoist iron.

Yeah right. Only if you are a blacksmith or a welder. You are proving a whole different point of view of what strength and fitness really is. I see no bunny tail on your gluteus maximus:eyeroll:

Thanks guys!

Incidentally, I also "prove" you don't need a pull-up bar to do pull-ups! :sinister: Though I have learned it's a good idea to wear gloves when doing pull-ups on wooden beams! :excruciating:

I see you're using the Tony Horton Power Stands. I've got them too, and I think they're the best money can buy. I went to one of his fitness camps. He's a class act.

Craiger, yeah they're the Horton power stands. I really like them, they're rock solid and a fair price. I tried P90X over the summer and have several of Horton's products. He seems like a real nice guy. Unfortunately I didn't get the results from P90X I was wanting, I feel it was the wrong type of program for my body. What I'm doing now has yielded much greater results in both aesthetic and performance.

Since pullups are the weak link in that sequence, finish off the set by initiating the pullups with jumping momentum; alternatively, continue the set without the pullups

To be honest grunt, I was so out of breath when I finished this that I don't think I could have done anymore reps at all, modified or not! These really, really get the heart pumping while at the same time taxing your muscular strength. I really like them!

I usually do 4 sets of a 3-Way Super Burpees (just made that up!) When I use my power tower to do Wide Grip Pull-Ups, Standard Grip Pull-Ups and final Chin-Ups instead of just pull-ups. But I can't get my camera into my workout room where the field of view can capture the whole room (it's a really small room), so I used to attic instead. I'm experimenting with doing these with different hand positions for the push-ups too.

Awesome Effort! What's next incorporating power T's to your burpee routine?

All the Best.

All right Joe. I am glad you are now 195. I know for some time you like I am now where stuck at 200. I hope one day to break the 200 weight threshold myself.

Great work Joe. Your health is showing

Hopeful, I have found that tapering my meals has helped me tremendously. While not reducing my overall daily calories, I now eat a very light breakfast, medium lunch and large dinner. Then depending on my calorie allotment, I may have a protein shake at the end of the evening. This combined with my new training is what finally broke me past the 200lbs barrier! Give it a try and see if it work for you. (You could also try the reverse with a large breakfast and small dinner, a lot of people have success with that)

Tom, I'm looking forward to it! You and Nate are the only two people I could think of that would even be crazy enough to try this on the T's!!!! :)
