Making public the entire list of everyone in Illinois that has the FOID card. Names and addresses. This can make some people absolutly ripe for home invasions and attacks to steal their guns. Unbelievable !
The lovely AP (associated press) put in a request from the Freedom of Information act to have access to this list and to publish it. It is at the Attorney Generals office for review as we speak.

Here is the story.

I actually was in MN driving back to Illinois and I heard a talk show in MN where the host was enraged that he read this story and tried to call the Tribune when he was on the air.

This is just one one attack on freedon, and a way to disarm the honest people, allowing armed criminals to make them Victims of crime. This is the Left at it's most evil and that is the honest view of them!

Gun owners tend to be pretty solid citizens and probably aren't supporters of the Attorney General. This is just one more way to rattle their cage.

This may backfire on the Attorney General and actually protect those who own guns:

It didn't happen and it was taken to court and the court said emphatically......"NO".....
Regarding the Attorney General here in Illinois.....overall she has been not so bad. She has done a lot for 'consumers' in various ways.
She was actually one of the people in question that our 'just found guilty' ex-Gov was thinking about 'pushing' or 'pimping' the value of Obama's old senate seat. Her father is probably the highest ranking political figure in Illinois. Higher than our current Gov. He controls the Illinois State Senate....Smell that.....hmmmmmmmmm.......it's the wonderful smell of nepotism.

But Andy is right and pretty near the target.
In Australia, where they did take away guns...since then.....not such a good story.....
My understanding...is that crime rates went up...way up.
I am just responding quickly here...and no...I don't have the 'statistics' to back it up completely.....

Isorez,
Was trying to send you a PM but couldn't figure out how to get thru to you. Anyway, was wondering if you lived in Illlinois? From your post sounds like you do. I live in southern Illinois. Was glad to see that this measure failed. Lots of hunters and gun owners here in southern Illinois, if this had passed there may have been a revolt! Was just curious where in Illinois you lived.
