Dr. Mark Cheng wrote an excellent article on Split Second Survival with Larry Wick in February's 2009 Black Belt Magazine. With great pictures by Rick Hustead he really does clarify what SSS is all about. For those of you who try to explain it to friends and family who just "don't get it" this article is very helpful. I recommend it to the transformetric forum members as well so they know where Larry is coming from. I have read this self defense forum for 4 years and I can tell who has viewed Larry's DVDs by what they comment on in the forum. I have all his DVDs and have viewed them many times. There is much to learn from this man. Take advantage of great teaching and a self defense system that is effective. And you don't have to be a martial artist to learn it.

Kottie, besides your offer to send me a copy of the February 2009 Black Belt Magazine, I appreciate your comments about Larry's SSS system. I'm rather new to this forum, and I'm one of those who have not viewed Larry's DVDs.

I've sometimes wondered why there are not more comments about and recommendations of SSS. I can tell that Larry is not the type to "push" his products. After reading your post yesterday, I googled Larry's SSS and watched the following short video of Larry's that introduces people to his system: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9056245249070851389. I was very impressed by Larry's earnest, no-nonsense presentation and his emphasis on what really works versus what's more likely to get you killed.

Hello Brothers and Sisters

While rushing to catch the evening commuter train to Tacoma, I stopped in a Seattle Borders Bookstore and bought a copy of Black Belt magazine.

When I looked at it on the train, I saw no article on Larry. It was the January issue.

From other posts here, I see that the post is in the February issue. So make sure you get the correct one.

I have all of Larry's DVD and did find them interesting and informative. How come John is no longer selling them on this website?

Thanks to Kottie, I read Black Belt Magazine's article about Larry's SSS. I can see why Kottie strongly encouraged all of us to read it.

It's an amazing article! And this is no exaggeration.
