Friends,

I have benefited from practicing Transformetrics both in body and mind. My Go-To exercises for the body have been the Tiger Moves and Push-ups, My Go-To exercise for the mind has been the Transformetrics emails from Mr. Peterson. I appreciate the encouragement and insight.

Mr. Peterson is right, the quality of a life comes from the inside. I encourage you to use these emails to transform the quality of your life.

All the best!

A New Year's Resolution

“True courage is not the brutal force of vulgar heroes. Rather the firm resolve of virtue and reason.”—Alfred North Whitehead

Those who know me are aware that for the past year or more I have been warning everyone who will listen that we are facing some potentially rough days ahead—in our nation, in our culture, and in our world. How each of us responds to the adversity before us will largely determine the quality of life we enjoy.

That is because ultimately, the quality of life comes from the inside out. I have learned that things like money, comfort, and even the esteem and respect of others cannot really bring you lasting happiness and joy. These can only come from within, by making peace with God and with yourself.

I’ve never used this daily e-mail, the online forum, or any other venue, as pulpits to force my faith on others. That’s not my style. What I have offered from time to time is the encouragement that what each of us needs for whatever we face in the days to come is a rock-solid faith in God’s goodness, and with that faith an inner resolve to face our tomorrows with courage.

Just like fear is contagious, so is faith and courage. Your commitment to standing firm and faithful in adversity may be the turning point for someone close to you to take a similar stand. You just may be the catalyst for courage in your realm of influence. And that would be a good thing.—J.P.
